Little fucking King Tommen gobshite. Still got no idea why they're trying their best to stop it when they should be doing the exact opposite. Make it happen, make it as easy as possible for them to leave, lock, stock. The sooner they leave the better the league (from a purely competitive pov) will be. Restore a bit of parity, get the fans packing out grounds every week and build the top flight up again without the cunts. Fuck them

Wouldn't surprise me if they called a meeting for tomorrow with the other clubs, excluding the breakaway 6, because they are spending the whole day placating those 6 clubs so they can present their compromise and let the rest of the league know tomorrow that they have let the 6 continue in the league under certain stipulations.

Has anything been mentioned about ticket prices?

They might not care about 'Legacy Fans' but half filled stadiums will be massively damaging to the ESL illusion

Certainly cant see away fans travelling in any numbers, the teams they have chosen (bar the English teams) arent even known for their domestic away followings

Just now, Super Duper Branko Strupar said:

I'm hoping that the narrative will swiftly switch from "These clubs" to "These owners and execs." By name. All of their pictures up together. Has to be personal.

Definitely, stop dragging the history of these clubs through the mire. These people don't represent the club, they represent themselves.

If they don't care what "Legacy fans" in the local area think, why do they need existing clubs?  Just invent some, North England Avengers, South of France Superstars and fill them with all the best players..  Obviously nobody would watch that at all,  so they do seemingly value the heritage and city-linked brand of the clubs, no?

Been out most of the day.

Is the current idea that these teams will still play in the PL as normal and this new wankthing will essentially just replace the Champions League?

Apparently the government may threaten to make the ESL a national interest, and therefore legally free to air, which would massively devalue the broadcast rights.

It'd be nice if they could get a couple of commentators in to shit on every game. A bit like Jim Ross when he's doing AEW.

I fuckin love some of the hardball tactics being proposed, I so so hope they stick to their guns - kicked out this season's CL, banning players playing internationally, kick them out CL. For a bit I really didn't want them to leave as would devalue the league we play in, but now I just really want to fuck them off. Would give me a bigger buzz than anything Newcastle have in last few years.

As much as I want the PL to come out and take action now, they need to check the legal position first. The Super League teams have a bit of an advantage at the mo as they've been planning this and they must feel they have a strong legal position to support them staying domestically.

Fucking hope not though, want them gone or totally humiliated

I keep reading that it would wreck the pyramid system in this country. In what way? I fail to see how. The likes of Man City and Chelsea have pretty much blank cheque books anyhow

The value of the PL and the money coming into it would absolutely plummet. Thus leaving nothing for the grass roots and the lower leagues.
