James
I live around the corner from the Maine Road Centre Circle which has been maintained as part of the development with a plaque on the centre spot. Flowers have been placed there by many, fair enough, however I just came across a nutter praying and kissing the plaque, hope this isn’t going to be a superspreading event! Robster
Hmmmm, shouldn't be doing that. Plaque is not good for the teeth.

Scoreboard82
That's awful. Great servant to the club as player and manager. Seemed to love the club and gave his all. RIP Glenn.

Shearergol
Ian St John has died, he was 82. I bloody loved Saint and Greavsie. Couldn't even tell you what it was really about (other than the obvious) now though. RIP ISJ.
huss9
part of the footie childhood of a certain generation. like waking up on cup final day and so excited no matter who was playing, and tv coverage started hours before kick off.
Incognito
They were great back in the day, Greavesie always had Saint cackling with his quips. So much so that Baddiel and Skinner used them for a weekly sketch, which was also very funny.

Guest
Vaguely remember watching that as a kid. Remember reading a story from him saying he was signing for Newcastle and everything agreed but Shankly was ‘persuasive’ and convinced him to go there instead.
