 I know I'm always shitting on him, but among that interview were proper meaningful questions such as:

How pleased are you?

Have you got a new deal cos you're good?

Why - as a 19-year-old Geordie lad who loves the club and grew up watching them and who's grandad played for the club - do you want to play for Newcastle?

It's good they've given you a deal, isn't it?

You've talked about living the dream, are you living the dream?

Do you want to play football for Newcastle?

He’s the wrong type of interviewer for the job. Politicians and celebrities involved in scandals want someone like him to interview them. So it can appear like they’ve fronted up to the press whilst being in no danger at all of saying anything meaningful or of interest.

I can just see him interviewing Bill Clinton in the 1990s:

“So err Mr Clinton, with everything people are saying about you working with Ms Lewinski and your potential relationship with her, just tell us how nice it is to actually have a job?”

(follow-up questions)

“Has it always been your passion to work for your government?”

“does it motivate you knowing you’re serving the people everyday?”

Am I going insane or was there not a video interview with him somewhere? I'm sure I saw one in my YouTube feed like a week or so ago  :icon_scratch:

Weird, they took down the video? Was embedded in my post earlier this page.

Yeah, I'm sure I saw it in a post here and on YouTube too. Maybe they moved or re-uploaded it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Be interesting to see where he ends up playing. Thought he looked bright when he came on and certainly not lacking in confidence but his defensive work ain’t the best if he’s to play in the middle.
