Yeh he did more good things than Bruno or Tonali tbf

Agree, I thought he was ok. One of the least of our problems (dive aside). It's a shame:

a) he can't play in a 10 style role

b) we're unwilling to try (possibly because of a)

Him just drifting left all the time can be predictable but I guess he's trying to get himself comfortable in the side again. Hoping Chelsea give him more space to run into.

Thought he got into good positions then it fizzled. A couple nice interceptions too.

His job today was to replace Joelinton. It's not like Big Joe is putting in killer passes or scoring goals in most games either.

Joelinton has been much better this season with his passes in final third, plays them with purpose.

That's not what I said though, I actually agree Joelinton is very underrated on his passing. But how many assists does he get or goals? Not a regular occurence which was my point.

The crux of it is, we can't play Joelinton because he's probably out for the last few games. So in my view we have to play a replacement, and in that regard I thought Willock did as well as could be expected given those around him were not great.

I thought he was fine today. If you want to moan at someone Tonali had a bit of a shocker today.

The difference is Tonali has been outstanding for the majority of the season. People are criticising Willock because he's been poor for a long time, and didn't do much to change that.

It's obviously easier to give Tonali the benefit of the doubt when he has a stinker than it is to give Willock the benefit of the doubt when he has yet another game where he's largely invisible/ineffective. It's not a one off.

He'd do well for Palace.

Involved in a deal for Guehi? Probably not but if Parish wants something from us he's far less likely to be a cunt about Guehi.

If we sold him, we really would need more in midfield in the summer, to state the obvious. A real squad overhaul.

I like him as a player but he doesn't seem able to stay fit and is too inconsistent to be someone we can rely on if we're going to try and compete around the CL places. He's good for where we were, but maybe less so for where we're trying to get to. Somewhere like Palace might well suit both parties.

It's going to be an exciting summer, and obviously so much of it hinges on grabbing that CL spot. It was the trigger for buying Tonali last time and one or two more of that calibre instead would make such a massive difference.

I just cant see Willock playing at the level we need him to again, mainly through expected further injuries and lack of consistent game time. If he was going to be fit for a season and starting, I'd probably back him to be a good performer. I dont see either of those things happening though.

Considering the fact that Longstaff seems likely to be going as well it really rockets CM up the priority list. I'm not actually keen on both of them leaving but if they both bring in some money then so be it.

It would actually give us a good chance to re shape the type of squad we have currently. Take out two players in Willock and Longstaff who aren't particularly suited to a possession based game and bring in two players who are.

Generational talent now that he's linked with palace 😂

Rinse the house elf of everything he's got.

“Sorry Parish, I’m afraid your skanky Slazenger sock won’t buy a Willock. Marc Guehi on the other hand…”

Bollocks to that, let's let Parish think we are his mate and that he's "won", that way we can nick more of his players in the future.

I think fringe players like Willock always have a price, if we get a half decent fee we would sell. That money would then go towards buying someone next level I would imagine. Hopefully if he's playing the last few games he'll put in the performances to show his real value.
