Hopefully he gets a new number next season. 28 is a reserve team player number. He’s going to need all the help he can get if he’s going to break into the England squad(which he deserves).

I know Rice 41 and Foden 47 but they are media darlings. Wor Joe goes under the radar. Think yesterday’s goal will establish his profile a little more.

every song is a rip off

so what, it means we can sing one for him

No Liverpool are constantly coming out with original songs. Still though I agree, it’s better than having no song at all.

Posted this in the Willock thread, but thought this was interesting and worth in here:

Joe Willock is 92% similar to the Jude profile below the bar graphs comparison in image 1.

Interestingly enough, the athletic listed him as a potential alternative to Bellingham that Liverpool could look at.

Joelinton probably gets in everyone's team because he can play three positions equally as effectively*. He's an incredible member of the squad and critically important because that level of competence in multiple positions is an amazing asset to have.

*no 8 in a 4-3-3

*one half of a double-pivot

*left-sided forward

This thread has sparked up rare interesting debate on Twitter. I'm amazed to see some calling Willock lazy though.

It's because he has that laid back vibe and doesn't shout and bawl like Gordon Ramsay. We've seen posters on here say stuff along these lines, for some people facial expression is more important than actual output.

He's also a slight looking lad. Joelinton is a unit and gets stuck in a bit more. Joelinton is also more useful on his left foot and in the air iirc.

Personally I like them about the same but Joelinton is more versatile and is defensively a little stronger both on the ground and in the air.

With the ball at their feet they are similar and we need an upgrade. I'm not as sold on Joelinton as others, or as down on Willock as others.

I think avoiding injuries/suspensions are key to us finishing in the CL but I think we just need 2 out of Joelinton, Willock & Longsaff fit. No single one of them is as important as Bruno or Isak for example.
