toon25
That lineup shows that Bruce is still picking the team even if he isn’t coaching it
Decky
Gonna get well beaten today. Southampton are too organised not to beat a Bruce shitfest.
Decky
BTW, he yapped weeks ago about not being able to start Fraser but then he's gone and dropped him, what, two games after saying that?
geordiesteve710
Not a lot on southamptons bench but their starting line-up should be strong enough to beat us.
Lush Vlad
Fraser seemed to be coming into a bit of form. After a disjointed season for him. Plus his set piece delivery is the best I can remember at the club for a good while. How the fuck does Hendrick still get a game?! No legs in the midfield yet again. The Longstaff bros have not been great, I mean, who is under this clown? But at least they seem to run about a bit. Matty in particular.
RS
Another defeat has got to make it the pigeon ladies last game surely?
Bishops Finger
Southampton will be a wounded animal. Bruce excuse
Dr Jinx
No Lascelles, Clark or Fernandez. Not sure what else we should have done in defence re: Hayden? Hendrick to try and do what Hayden was doing and Willock comes in to the middle to add some mobility. Aside from Hayden not being in the DM position, I think this is potentially a stronger line up. Fingers crossed ASM is fully fit, we cannot afford to lose him for any amount of time between now and end of season

Decky
I swear to God man if Bruce says anything about it being tough because they lost their last game 9-0.
Abra Dubravka
No Clark today, or any other fit CB f***s us over there by losing Hayden in midfield. Bruce loves Hendrick, and Shelvey though. We can all see their both miles of it, but he obviously feels he can trust them and rely on them. Moving Hayden out of that midfield is going to be a huge loss, he's the only one who's ever switched on in a defensive transition. Hendrick and Shelvey are going to get their heads spun, and Willock is his first game. Would have preffered Krath, or a youth team CB in and keep Hayden in midfield. Decky
Hayden at CB is his excuse already. Wuh wuh always gonna find it tough with one natural centre back.

Clark's wife was in labour, yesterday. Was mentioned on Total Sport, last night.
Rich
Still tickles me that the bloke was moaning he had too many centre backs once upon a time. How many times could we have done with just one extra?
xLiaaamx
They have a center back at right back That's got to be the dream for ASM surely?
Rafalove
Not sure on ASM starting mind. Same. He’s been Struggling with 20-30 minutes so far
Toon No9
How Hendrick can get a start in place of Matty Longstaff is beyond me. Must really be something personal between them!?
Rompe
Would have one of the Longstaffs in, but otherwise a decent lineup imo.

Ketsbaia
Worst time to face Southampton, although it'll be a handy narrative when we lose - "Steve, you lost to Sheff Utd and a side that have just been beaten 9-0" Not sure how much ASM can play, but would rather replace him from a winning position than bring him on when losing.
