I know that your tongue is bursting through your cheek there  but he's clearly rattled by a modicum of dissent and it'll be more vociferous from away followings. Hope the lads going down to Wolverhampton tomorrow keep it up.

Same here and at every game, the cunt deserves it!

Keep the pressure when we lose but also when we win that's the crucial thing. It gives the impression Bruce is getting on alright (until the next game) if we ask him for a wave unironically etc if we do better than the norm

That he thinks walking away from a club to get another job is a positive says more than anything bad anyone else could say about this fucking bag of toss.

Spot on. The bloke is the biggest mercenary in the league. The fact he has mates in the media and he used to play for Man United has given him a career in management in which he has made millions from being an abject failure.

He either runs clubs into the ground or walks away at the first chance of more money for pork pies. The fact that he sees the latter as a success is an absolute embarrassment.

Rafa faces Man U and Ronaldo tomorrow I imagine right now he's plotting a way to keep him quiet and win the game, Bruce will be face deep in chips thinking of an excuse.

It’s a strange one with Caulkin, I don’t actively dislike him at all but he’s either not got his finger on the pulse anymore or more likely, he knows exactly how shit Steve Bruce is but is afraid to damage their little friendship by writing the truth. That’s something there’s no going back from.

Fuck Caulkin, he's gone from being part of the solution to being part of the problem. I've long since disregarded anything he says as he's obviously put all objectivity to one side and he's writing puff-pieces for his mate despite all of the stats and visual evidence to the contrary.

When did he ever have his finger on the pulse?

Caulkin being a good journalist is a massive myth. Because he was (very wrongly) positive about the takeover, people seem to think he’s good?

He’s not. He was totally and utterly wrong. The rest of the time he’s spent being Bruce’s mouthpiece.

He was an excellent journalist before he joined The Athletic. When he wrote for a national I felt he tried really hard to portray the frustration of following this stupid club and it felt like he would go out to bat for us in the same way somebody like Daniel Storey does now.

Now he’s at the Athletic though he knows the majority of his work is for Newcastle fans, he’s effectively sold out and needs to keep contacts onside or he won’t get anything. Chris Waugh is a good bloke and has started to overtake him despite being pegged as Sidekick Simon/Captain Waffles in the god awful podcast they do.

I still think Douglas has got the most to offer but the Chronicle is, well, just try and read an article. A dead duck basically.

What will be interesting is to see what happens IF we ever get taken over. I don’t blame some of them for being a bit shit right now, imagine having to cover this shitfest 6 days a week? Try to make a story about the club that barely exists. The only thing they’ve got to write about is the past and sadly a lot of online readership are of an age where they don’t give a shit about the 90s. So if there’s new life it might reinvigorate some of them, when the going is good you want to consume as much content about the club as possible but right now it’s a cesspit.

Wednesdayite in peace. Been reading your forum for a while as I’ve always had a soft spot for Newcastle. Loving Bruce’s comments about not walking away. When he came to us our chairman absolutely bent over backwards to accommodate him, even allowing him delaying starting the job for six weeks so he could go to the West Indies to watch cricket. The thanks he got for that was Mr potato head walking out and taking all his back room staff with him a week before the season started.

He will get a warm welcome if he ever comes near Sheffield again.

Good luck for the rest of the season, hope you get shut soon, and the premier league rich kids let your take over go through

What the fuck

Welcome to the forum. Always thought of SW being a big club ever since the 83-84 promotion season.

Always funny to hear opinions of fans of other clubs that have had the misfortune of having Bruce as manager.

He's some talent, like. To have got away with being utter shite for so long. Takes some doing

He really does. Its not that he's managed both Sheffield clubs, both Birmingham clubs and both North-East clubs its that despite it being more and more obvious he is not a good manager he's managed to get the bigger clubs in those scenarios later in his career. WTF is going on!?!
