We've only beaten West Ham, Swansea, Stoke and Crystal Palace this season. When we start beating other teams we can start to be more hopeful of survival. That's why our inability to beat a rubbish Brighton team at home was so demoralising two days ago.

Still an 8, we are 4 points off safety but West Ham have 2 games in hand for example.

You think we have an 80% chance of going down? That's very very high.

At the moment aye, I can see us drawing or losing to Swansea and we have Man City away soon. A takeover and some investment changes all that or could do.

7 points from 12 is great, but it’s still very close down there and we are still a very poor side.

But 80% likely to go down? That's insane.

I look at it more as we are likely to go down than others around us. Stoke get a new manager and that can change their fortunes. Again if Swansea were to get something from our game that could be a disaster too. If we don’t strengthen well in Jan I cannot see this group of players having enough in the tank to get us over the line so again, it’s an 8 from me. Beat Swansea and sign some players and that will change of course.

Still a strong 5 and that'll only change if we're taken over, fail to sign anyone of note, Lascelles gets injured, and/or we go on a bad run.

I don't think you understand probability and percentages.

Clearly we are still very much in this relegation battle and there is a very reasonably chance we will get relegated, but 80% is very, very high.

3 now. Win against Swansea and it’s a 2.

Genuinely don’t know how anyone can be on more on a 5 to be honest.

For the same reason I was worried even when we had that great start, we don't have enough genuine quality which means we can easily go on another run without wins. A season's a long time to go with a squad like ours. Hopefully we'll fix that this month with a couple of quality additions.

The thing we've got going for us is that we keep getting results against the bottom sides. Keeps them behind us, keeps adding points to our board...might see us safe.

Results against the bottom six:

P8 W6 D2 L0 Pts 20

Results against everyone else:

P14 W0 D2 L12 Pts 2

You'd like to think we'll add points to the bottom sequence from now!

Sorry, was never good at maths at school. Understand a shit team and a shit predicament when I see one though.

If we play like we did today and against West Ham I still only see 13 points.

if we don't get better players in jan we are down, We only just beat stoke

That's  like saying Bournemouth/Brighton/Huddersfield only just beat us as they were all by the odd goal. The important thing is the win and not how comfortable  it was.

An 80% chance of going down is like having odds of 1/4.  For comparison, the bookies have us at 7/2, which is about a 22% chance.  Easy money.

Aye but it’s an Internet forum where the scale is 1-10...

Fuck me this forum man

It’s like every single thing you post gets disected and analysed.
