Ryan
Is anyone really arsed if we do go down? I mean ideally I'd prefer it if we stayed up but if we went down it wouldn't affect me at all compared to how pissed off I was last time.

Dave
42 points was enough to finish 13th last season.
hakka
Today's the day I accepted that we are going down. Yup. I said it the moment Arsenal scored today. Unless we go for it in the transfer market and get lucky enough to find some quality, we are going down.
Unbelievable
Still a 6.
Varadi
Just had a look at our fixtures - if we don't get minimum 4 points from our next 2 home games we're fucked I reckon.
TheGuv
Man Utd (H) W Ham ( H) Watford (A) Everton (A) I can easily see us only getting a max of 3 points from those games. We could be cut adrift rather quickly...
TRon
Four games over the Christmas fixtures and we got one point - against Villa at home. But it's okay because we played ever so well.
Chrisjraby
Voted 7 previously but almost tempted to upgrade to 8 now, looking pretty bleak
Robster
It's like the film Final Destination. We cheated it last year but it's going to catch up with us this year. Inevitable.
mrmojorisin75
It's like the film Final Destination. We cheated it last year but it's going to catch up with us this year. Inevitable. All it took would have been the money they spent on players and another little bit extra on a proper manager as well, it's always been so easy yet Ashley makes it so hard. Spider Jerusalem
It hasn't even been worth chucking a sneaky tenner on us going down, the odds have been that shit for us all season.
54
The next round of fixtures could be key, Swansea are at home to Sunderland and Bournemouth are at home to West Ham, while we play Man United, results go against us, we will be 6 points from safety, with much shittier goal difference. nufcjb
Could go up to a 7 for me if we don't get a minimum 4 from the next 2 games. We're 6 points behind Norwich ffs. Should get someone to replace McClaren if we're cut adrift by start of February.
Skeletor
If we're cut adrift then it's too late. He should never have been hired in the first place.

Skeletor
What result do you want from the Swansea/Sunderland game? A draw. Although I see Swansea pulling away eventually anyway.
Wallsendmag
What result do you want from the Swansea/Sunderland game? Doesn't matter. If we can't do it for ourselves other results are irrelevant.
Scoreboard82
Four games over the Christmas fixtures and we got one point - against Villa at home. But it's okay because we played ever so well. Sick of these hard luck stories. Need to get points. A much more slender defeat than expected yesterday but ultimately no points. Results elsewhere were awful. Need to turn things around quickly or else.
astraguy
If we leave it late like we normally do in the window we are gone , If we act within the weeks we should be ok
LoveItIfWeBeatU
Surprised this thread had dropped to the second page. If/when we get relegated I can see Perez, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Cissé and Janmaat all leaving. Maybe Mbemba too. After that I think the rest who are still in contract will probably stay as there won't be many takers for them.
