Next seasons Championship could look quite tasty with potentially - Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa, Forest, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Wolves, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Coventry, Hull, Derby, Birmingham, Cardiff, Reading, Fulham, QPR, Blackburn.

Premier league 2

That's not an unattractive prospect. Big teams, competitive, decent grounds, travel's not bad.

You're right, it's so much better making up the numbers aboard the gravy train.

You made a big mistake pointing THAT out...both Ashley and large sections of NUFC support will take the view that we should be satisfied at being among such formerly exalted company - maybe that is going to be the home for clubs whose glory days are well and truly behind them and ironically, most of the clubs shown were a success when England was an industrial powerhouse..most of the successful clubs today are in parts of the country where Finance and retail is the most successful industry(London/SE/Manchester). This reflects the UK's fall as an industrial power and its place mainly as a Finance hub....those areas are where the majority of the disposable income is and Football chiefs know that too. Many parts  of the UK are now unemployment hot spots and will remain so for the foreseeable future leading to an exit of talented people which makes the problem worse.

Speak for yourself....there are many of us who believe the club is better than that...

Down.

Results today confirm it imo. Norwich, West Brom all pulling clear. Mackems will win enough at home (they always do).

Villa, NUFC and Swansea in all probability now

We can't score, missed far too many chances and are always liable to let in a soft goal.

Can't see us staying up at all. I thought all our problems could be fixed by having a better centre midfield and a new first team CB, but today showed that we are fucking shite up front as well really. That's being harsh, but it's the reality for what the return is.

May as well sign half a team in January if we want any hope of staying up.
