Dave
At least we've saved three weeks of wages on any new striker. Who cares about points and progressing in the Cup though?
Geordie Ahmed
Other results went in our favour BUT typically we f*** it up Looking at the fixtures, I'm not sure where we can string a few results together as we are hopeless away from home
Varadi
"Winnable" home games left against WBA, mackems, Swansea, Bournemouth and Palace - given our away form we probably need to win them all.
AY
Still need to just catch Swansea or Norwich. Buy a good striker and we should be able to do that, The good part is that we have games against Bournemouth, Swansea, WBA and Sunderland at home. Win those and that should almost do it. Of course that sounds too easy edit. Slow as f...

Robster
"Winnable" home games left against WBA, mackems, Swansea, Bournemouth and Palace - given our away form we probably need to win them all. For us, the winnable games are against the better sides.
SUPERTOON
Were going like. We wont win away for the rest of the season in fact we will struggle to get a point. Were pretty much relying on getting around 18 points at home and that wont happen.
Minhosa
Massively indebted to Liverpool today. If Norwich had of held on to that 2 goal lead then I think you could near enough put a fork in us.
Stifler
I'm not too disheartened by today's result because other results have been kind on us. We are still in there with a chance, no one really looks like pulling away from us and out of the teams down there we seem to be playing some of the better football. I don't change my prediction last week (6-7), and I'm not changing it this week either.
mrmojorisin75
I'm at 7 now. We have a poor manager making bad decisions with a squad of players better than what's around us.

Wallsendmag
Same as. If we don't buy a decent striker we're down. Buy one and we should stay up.
Guest
4 points from the last 3 games is what we'd probably have expected like. Need another 4 from the next two though.
timeEd32
It's all very tight now though. I think every team from Palace down (bar Everton) could potentially get dragged into this. We're quite obviously going to have to get our points at home. I like Mitrovic and think some of the stick is an overreaction, but we quite obviously need a proven striker. Need to stop fucking around and get Berahino or Remy.
triggs
About a 5. Two of us, Swansea, Norwich and the Mackems will join Villa
Guest
Massive fucking chance to really pull the pack into it though. Win today and everyone from Palace down would have been in it.
cp40
we will struggle but may well get 4 points from the next 4 games, and will be just about hanging onto the coat tails of 4th bottom.

I hadn't looked past the Everton & WBA game...ouch. We might get 5 points from the next 5 if we're lucky.
Guest
The games after Stoke away: Bournemouth (H), Leicester (A), Sunderland (H), Norwich (A). There is where we'll know what league we'll be in next season.

cp40
safety is looking at 38-40 points so where do we get 17-19 points going to be hard going.
Guest
safety is looking at 38-40 points so where do we get 17-19 points going to be hard going. We need 4 from Everton, WBA & Stoke...anything from Chelsea or City is a bonus. We need about 9 points from the 4 after that, then 6-7 from the last 6 (most likely to come against Swansea, Palace at home, or Villa away). Can't see anything at Southampton, Liverpool or on the last day v Spurs. That's the only escape route I can see.
