Can only bode well for our relationship development at the highest levels. At some point and some how the shackles will come off as there is too much vested interest at stake (I’d like to think:lol:).

Trying to keep this vague, but company I’m associated with has been approached by an intermediary (not the club) to discuss front of shirt sponsorship. Media reports that’s it been agreed would appear to be wide of the mark.

Posted a couple of years ago about a company I work with being approached for the front of shirt sponsorship that ultimately went to Sela. They weren’t overly interested - and it felt rather scattergun, which I assumed was in part trying to benchmark interest to pass the requisite PL ‘fair value test’.

Nevertheless they are being actively being courted now for the training [kit] sponsorship with a couple of preliminary meetings in early December. Don’t have the figure they are looking for, but it would suggest the club really are at a pretty nascent stage still.

Interestingly unlike last time it’s not been led by what was a New York based agency but via the in-house commercial team. Which hopefully talks to an increase in the sophistication of the function.

All gone very quiet on the CEO recruitment front, considering Eales announced he was stepping down end of Sept id be expecting an announcement on his successor soon surely, considering they will have to serve notice or gardening leave.

Wonder if the plan is for Eales to step away and new person to take over in the summer

Considering the seriousness of DE's illness I hope we're not keeping him on for any longer than is necessary. The guy needs to focus on receiving proper treatment instead of being in the firing line for another hectic transfer period with radgies having a go at him and Paul Mitchell for failing to recruit whomever they think we should be buying.

So just like Mitchell then? Just like Silverstone? Just like pretty much every high profile board appointment?

You'd think people would have realised by now that we do our business behind closed doors.

I'm not saying you are, but people seemingly want to criticise the club for not discussing their targets (be it staff or players) openly with the media.

People talk about hiring a CEO as if you just give Geordie Jobs Recruitment a ring and they’ll have some candidates sat in NUFC reception in an hour

A thorough Director level search campaign typically takes 3-6 months as a minimum

6 months notice is the norm along with nda’s when it gets to that level.

Of those who will be out of contract, who will likely be offered new deals.

2025: Wilson, Krafth, Lascelles, Dubravka, Longstaff, Gillespie, Ruddy, Schar, Lewis.

Based on all the PSR nonsense, are we looking at Longstaff and Scar as definitely, perhaps Krafth?

Apologies if already discussed

Longstaff has already had his contract automatically extended. Yes I’d say so regarding those two. One of the GKs possibly.

I think kraft and schar are the only 2 for me.

Longstaff isn't over in the summer we reportedly triggered a year extension so it's 18months left.

My biggest concern is rumour has it howe wanted to keep Dummett and Ritchie but only let them go as manu get the European spot so if that happens again and we do get Europe next season do we try and keep all of them?

We need to move on from these fringe player/cheerleader players save the wages and invest but it's the constant circle of how do you find the replacements when they are going for free and you need to find the outlay in full for replacements.

So they are trying to distance themselves from us as they are not being bought by the Saudi state, however someone has found that the people involved have worked closely with the government on projects, and family members have been in government roles.

Not us, but John Textor has entered into an exclusivity period to sell his shares in Crystal Palace to a Saudi-USA consortium.

Lets see if they are the bad guys?

Going to look like massive hypocrites if that actually happened.
