That celebration where he goes to the corner with his arms in the air and the camera pans around him is iconic for me. Also always made me chuckle the way he celebrated goals with that nonchalant chest pat and arm out to one side with the confidence like it was just another day at the office. Guy was such an inconsistent frustrating player, but would occasionally score a belter and celebrate as if he does it all the time

Eddie is tremendous. He got it completely spot on yesterday from start to finish. Usually his in game management is an issue but his reaction to the red and late changes (both personnel and tactically) got us the win. Sorry to break your heart but thanks again for thinking about me.
Alberto2005
He used to do my head in, everytime he missed a sitter he'd do this exact reaction.
Interpolic
The 6-0 vs Villa was brilliant as well, for us to smash the club that had laughed at us so soon after bouncing back was immense. Carroll hatrick suggested the emergence of a new Geordie number 9 legend although we all know what happened next.

Remember how rattled he was about the song they played at the end Away end at their place “Brucey where’s ya song. A shit player who contributed near fuck all in the eons he seemed to be here. KK had the right idea when he binned him out on loan to Stoke.
Collage
I like the man Shola but it says a lot about how the club was operated during the Ashley regime that he was kept on and on, playing close to 30 games season after season whilst obviously not being up to standard. Was very frustrating and depressing at the time. Rewarding loyalty rather than ability and contribution on the pitch.
Cronky
Just thought I'd share something with you all. I was talking to a Man U supporter a few days ago, and when I told him I supported Newcastle, he said, 'Oh hard luck'. Now in my 60 years of following our club, I've often had to take that comment on the chin and smile gamely. Not this time. I told him we weren't losers any more and that I was looking forward to the future. It was a spontaneous, natural response and I put it down to our great manager. TheBrownBottle
I can forgive Shola for trapping a ball further than he could ever pass it, but … “You look at the amounts of money you need to pay to buy superstars now….Mike Ashley has come out and said he hasn’t got the funds to do that…to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool. “He is a businessman, and unfortunately for the Newcastle fans, he wants to run his business in a way that is sustainable. “Credit to Mike Ashley…because you look at the likes of Aston Villa, and these clubs who are struggling financially. “The one thing that Mike Ashley has done for Newcastle over these last ten years, is to stabilise the club – where the club is running itself and we’ve got no debt. “That’s credit to Mike Ashley but obviously fans of a football team want to progress year on year, they want to see big players. “We can be quietly happy with our business” I always felt that ‘we can’t compete with Liverpool and Man City’ cop-out in a Geordie accent was catnip to the press. So testicles to him.

Ask the current owners how much debt we had - they had to pay it off as part of the purchase of the club.

Ellis H
If we get in Europe and do well in all competitions we just might play that many again. Forest are on 41 and they went out in the 3rd round of both domestic cups.

Yorkie
Watching the latest presser. You'd think these journos had never heard him field a question before at times, let alone spent the last four years with him. That one from Damien Spellman asking how we compare to Man City. Surely you know by this point he doesn't think like that at all? Then you've got poor old Lee Ryder asking for a Woltemade update seconds after he just gave one. Gaggle of dimwits.
