We are one of the worst teams around when we have a 1-0 lead. I know the other team will come onto us a bit more and take risks. But we’re always so passive and just drop right off.

Considering how good Howe is at almost everything else. It is baffling that it seems to happen almost every time we get the first goal.

The schedule above all has us suffering, along with the Wissa injury. Wolte was gassed at half time.

Half the PL are playing European football, and we’ve just spent £200m expanding the squad.  We rotated midweek.  I’m not watching a performance this poor because we’re tired - we’ve been shit away for quite a while now.

We’ve also been shit at home in the league at times this season, the levels are lacking all round. But we are playing against top CL teams (and getting results) mid week my friend, not farmers from Belarus.

The squad need expanding, but it’s still a way away from a squad that can push on all (CL included) fronts. We looked tired from 30 today, but yes the performance is still shit regardless.

It was always going to be difficult the manage the run of games up to Christmas this season, Wissa and Ramsey injuries really didnt help.

But don’t let that stop the fragile ones from raging in here today.

This second half is showing his plan B is hopeful rather than anything well thought out and trained/drilled adequately if his usual 4-3-3 with his preferred players isn't working. We have been playing this same style for long enough it is no wonder when we face teams that know how to play against it.

We haven’t been top teams in the CL at all - Barcelona were it.  The other two matches were cakewalks against subpar opposition - if we’re knackered at this point we might as well throw in the towel
