If you can tell me 1) what the formation is right now and 2) who is playing where then I’ll say it’s 100% just on the players

Formation is the same as normal. Tonali RB, Ramsey joelinton Bruno midfield, Barnes osula elanga front 3.

it was poor from the start too which was our normal line up

On the players this one today for me. All been awful, so slow and disjointed, full of individual mistakes that they shouldn’t be making

Partially but there’s big issues that he didn’t address in the summer and it’s coming home to roost.

Yeah don’t get me wrong the season as a whole he has questions to answer, but the defeat today for me is on the players

Every single possible aspect of that was wrong today. Not a fucking clue what he was trying to do. Leaving Joelinton on the pitch for the full 90 was sheer negligence. I'll be kind and just pray it was a weird off day from the players and also him.

It was exactly the same as the Lloyd Kelly 0-2 home game last season. Same as the shit performances against Brighton and Bournemouth every season. He clearly learns lessons as a coach, but there's certain mistakes or patterns of poor performances that are worryingly consistent.

- West Ham arrive in terrible form, unable to get a win for toffee and bereft of confidence

- We sit back, play absolutely fucking shit and gift them a lead

- We make changes that completely muddle the side up and spend the second half creating absolutely nothing against a low block

- We have no technical players who can undo the low block because we've put all our eggs in the "pace and power" basket, meaning if we look lethargic we've got absolutely nowt. This was the case last season and Eddie pushed to get Elanga in for big money to exacerbate the issue.

This has to be the equivalent of Brentford (a) last season as the "low point" because we can't have any more as bad as that. Today was a massive exception to his usual standards, it was Bruce and Pardew levels of shit with a significantly better team of players. I really, really hope that's the nadir and we sort out the away form in the league, cos it's nowhere near good enough and Eddie is way better than he showed today.

Deserves pelters for this, frankly.

We seem to have no ability to, and perhaps even no interest in, playing better football than teams.

Joelinton staying on the pitch for 90 minutes in a game we were chasing and were just gifted the ball for the entire second half is fucking laughable.

Terrible from Howe, got every single thing wrong today. Shit himself at HT with 3 subs, terrible subs as well and it just kept getting worse and he didn't look like he could do anything to change it round.

We have no creativity at all, we didn't create 1 good chance in that game.

Nah when all the players are shit it’s the managers fault.  It’s his job to prepare and motivate them. If they all look unprepared and unmotivated the manager hasn’t done his job.

Too many flat poor performances, Eddie deserves time to sort things out, but i feel that requires a tweak to the system, something he's not shown he prepared to do (other than 5-2-3, which we never play well using) up to this point.

Fucking done now.

We are clearing picked hams where we try and others where we don’t. Sick of the same players getting away with putting in shit performances, looking at you Gordon, and Barnes.

He can’t find his way around a low block.

Absolutely sick of it, the whole team’s attitude is wrong and that’s on him.

He doesn’t have it in him to take us to the next level.

I’m scared this is true.
I look at us and often think we need more football. I want Wissa back and to stop Joelinton and go 4231 with Wolte off Wissa. Get Wolte close to Bruno with the ability to run off the back off him.

I have said for a while now we are a big game team , we turn up for the cup games and big teams at home but aside from that we are usually shite . Not even saying that's on Eddie but it's clear we have an attitude problem in the squad with certain players .

I can't tell what the plan is anymore, used to be able to see what we were trying to do. That's all down to Howe and coaches to prepare them. He also needs to be ruthless Bruno, Joelinton and Gordon aren't doing enough and making so many stupid mistakes and Pope is terrible, time to change it all.

Also if we aren't scoring goals consider the tactics and formation as not enough happening in final 3rd, we look lost for ideas and then give it away and get opened up. It's happening too often - oh and no collective press anymore or intensity or anything resembling controlling a game.
