Ikon
Wasn't he the manager of Nice too when HBA was there? Iirc they played pretty darn entertaining football. So did Dortmund.
toon25
Whoever comes in will have a fucking tough job when it comes to training and improving fitness levels.
toontownman
I'm already at the point that I would be sad if Ragnick doesn't come in lol Few places backtracking on Conte, saying he is interested to talk..Think it just stems from a likely bs claim from the chronicle. Imagine Conte actually wanting it but us turning him down because he won't fit with our DoF set up and vision. ?
Gallowgate Toon
Would absolutely take Favre. He feels like the right level to take things forward, tbh. I would absolutely love Conte here but he's never been at a club more than a few years, has he? Seems like someone we'd want to come in once we've solidified a bit. The Prophet
I loved Favre when he was at Gladbach, but he really struggled at Dortmund.

Not sure how he did overall, but one season he finished in 2nd place at 76p, 2p after BM.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been considered, but the Italian is believed to have a list of requirements that could result in Newcastle’s recruitment team looking elsewhere. Lucien Favre, a former boss at Borussia Dortmund, has indicated his interest in the position, while Graham Potter and Eddie Howe have also been mentioned as potential domestic candidates with experience of managing in the Premier League. Ikon
Think it's vital that we bring in the Director first before a manager. Anything else wouldn't make sense at all if we're gonna go the Sporting Director way.

Elephant
If you want to get absolutely frustrated, then go for Favre. Soon you will realize what it really is. No way players like Håland would come to Favre’s team again. He may get half good season, but he is NOT the manager to win trophies and success. I guess they have to start working then. Really don't see the point in bringing in someone like say Rangnick if you've already hired a manager that's the total opposite of what Ragnarok prefers to work with. Probably 2 of 3 managers down the line. All we need this & next season is improvement up a level and that’s not hard

Yassassin
The opprobrium following the takeover is insufferable in any case at the moment so let’s be having it and persuade (bribe) Rafa to return. He wants to, we want him to and it would be best for the Everton fans who (by and large) didn’t want him at all for this to happen

AyeDubbleYoo
The tactics and training is the most important for a modern manager I guess, since they will have a whole team of other people to look after the higher-level technical stuff.

nbthree3
Based on an article from the Sun "The Magpies have enjoyed a surreal few days since a Saudi-led consortium bought the club from deeply unpopular owner Mike Ashley for more than £300million and the new hierarchy are now thought to be drawing up a list of targets to succeed current manager Bruce, with Potter among those being considered, according to The Sun.
