STEVE BRUCE is set to be relieved of his duties in the next 48 hours, with Newcastle United’s new owners expected to install Graeme Jones in temporary charge for Sunday’s home game with Tottenham

Newcastle’s new owners have already begun the process of recruiting Bruce’s long-term successor, with Frank McParland, who is expected to be formally announced as a key member of the new executive set-up soon, set to lead the recruitment process.

The former Liverpool academy director and director of recruitment at Rangers will be tasked with finding an experienced, high-profile manager to lead Newcastle’s new dawn

Ideally this is true, but we still have pressing football matters in the short term.

Totally get you. I guess they have to start working then. Really don't see the point in bringing in someone like say Rangnick if you've already hired a manager that's the total opposite of what Ragnarok prefers to work with.

If you want to get absolutely frustrated, then go for Favre. Soon you will realize what it really is. No way players like Håland would come to Favre’s team again.

He may get half good season, but he is NOT the manager to win trophies and success.

Signing the likes of Haland is years off man. Probably 2 of 3 managers down the line. All we need this & next season is improvement up a level and that’s not hard

The opprobrium following the takeover is insufferable in any case at the moment so let’s be having it and persuade (bribe) Rafa to return. He wants to, we want him to and it would be best for the Everton fans who (by and large) didn’t want him at all for this to happen

Based on an article from the Sun

"The Magpies have enjoyed a surreal few days since a Saudi-led consortium bought the club from deeply unpopular owner Mike Ashley for more than £300million and the new hierarchy are now thought to be drawing up a list of targets to succeed current manager Bruce, with Potter among those being considered, according to The Sun. That was from yesterday, with the S*n saying the same. Chronicle said today that he's interested but wants assurances.

Why take Favre and lose ASM when we could keep ASM and potentially get a better manager in Conte?

Guess the ASM thing could be a worry. Did he not say he liked Bruce, and the suggestion being that Bruce let him get away with being late for training and that, and jet off to France when he wanted?

Hopefully if he wants to be here for our new start, then he'll accept he might have to toe the line a bit more?
