Ketsbaia
OUT: Gayle IN: A striker who knows what a goal looks like Don’t think the maths work out on that one. The £15m English inflation for Gayle can buy some decent players on the continent. (Joelinton says hi)
LoveItIfWeBeatU
There is already a full 25 man squad. Saivet and Colback didn't make the squad. NUFC have to sell or loan players out to free up squad places. The alternative is having even more players not able to play but still having to pay them. It doesn't help when unwanted players are on well paid long term contracts. Even for NUFC to loan players they need to move other players on.
geordiedean
Out Gayle, Hayden, Manquillo In a striker who knows where the goal is and how to put the round thing in it Decent strong commanding athletic centre midfielder
t00nraider
Our midfield aren't the best to help. Replacing Muto with a top striker would be good.
TRon
Muto's gonna go isn't he? Him and Gayle could fetch a cool £4m between them. Muto is exactly the sort we should be looking to get rid of. Neither manager here has rated him. But Bruce has come in specifically to coach the players we do bring in, so He got £80m worth of talent in Joelinton, Maximin and Almiron, now he needs to start getting goals out of them. We have so many fans and tv pundits telling us how good he is, if he can't get that sort of investment to work, then what the HELL is going wrong?? Not sure how that's in any way relevant to Muto not being rated by either manager But yeah the front three need to score more goals.
Kanj
literally no reason at all to sell Manquillo unless we're going to sign a RB who is of the same quality as Willems
Ikon
literally no reason at all to sell Manquillo unless we're going to sign a RB who is of the same quality as Willems I still see Manquillo as our best RB Krafth was such a stupid signing, but I guess thats how it is when cheap cunts are running the club. Happinesstan
Wouldn't be surprised if we moved Ki on in January and put Colback in the 25 And play him in the FA cup. Where there is a will [to get knocked out early] there is a way.
Guest
OUT: Gayle IN: A striker who knows what a goal looks like Don’t think the maths work out on that one. £10m for Gayle, might cover most of a loan fee & wages for 5 months for Giroud. Would keep the club up and make it some more money in the summer. As if chelsea can afford to let him go and/or he has any interest in Newcastle. He’ll end up at Palace or West Ham so we really should be able to have a chance.
Raconteur
We have nothing of value to sell except Schar and Lascelles. Unless Bruce manages to con someone into buying in bulk there's no chance of him getting any players in. Pretty sure we could ask 20-30m for each of the Longstaff brothers Matty's played like 3 games And Sean had played seven when Ashley supposedly demanded 50m for him in the summer. At the time, many here thought 30-35m wasn't enough. How much do you think a club would have to pay to sign Matty Longstaff? If Ashley accepted a bid of 20m, would you think that sound value? (Ignoring the fact that we are not a normal club!!!)
Infinitely Content
I'd look to shift Gayle to a champo team. Maybe part of a swap deal for Bowen? Or maybe Leeds/West Brom might fancy him still.

nufcjb
Prefer Ki in the team when Shelvey goes back to his old form and the Longstaffs being sold rather than have Cack Jolback here again.

TRon
Lots of replies to it saying they like the approach of the club being honest. Wowzers. Giving the manager's job to a local certainly helps the spoonful of manure served up by Ashley go down a lot easier.
