What happened to Jetro, did he ever get a club?

Signed for Greuther Furth and currently on track for the worst season in Bundesliga history [emoji38]. Was always a bit weird this board's obsession with re-signing him.

To be fair he was absolutely class for us and clearly would walk over broken glass to come here. Seems he is completely broken though and we were probably right not to go back in for him.

He was, and I was gutted he got injured. But people wanted to sign him after he hadn't played for 18 months with one of the most serious injuries you could get.

Was listening to talkshite this morning, god they don't half hate us, every comment mentioned on there says he's only here for the money, and that's gonna be the thread throughout this particular window

It’ll be like that until we’ve revamped the squad and we’re competing at the top end of the table.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Sky Italy transfer supremo Gianluca Di Marzio said: "Ramsey may come back to the Premier League. He had an official proposal from Burnley to sign for them, but he said no.

"He wants to play for a more ambitious team, Newcastle have asked for him too before Christmas. We'll see whether anyone can sign him in January."

Why can some people still not grasp how appealing an extra 0 on the wages offered can be, especially when agents are involved

He plays for Barcelona mate, his wages are already obscene as they would be anywhere else.

He earns £18.5m a year apparently. We should up that to £185m a year nee bother

And we are now in a position to match or improve on anything anyone can offer. Plus Barcelona are still pretty much up the creek regarding paying salaries

He's on £350k a week. If we gave him £1m a week he might consider it I guess but its not going to happen

Not if it fucks up our FFP we can’t, which I think comes under the current rules. We still have to live within our means. Barca are head and shoulders above us at the current time with income and sponsorship.

And thanks to Big Mike doing his best Scrooge impression FFP will not be an issue for at least a couple of years even without new sponsors

But if we throw cash at signings and pay them over and above anyone else will do, as you suggest, that leeway we currently have won’t last very long. Until we sort out further income anyway.

we have 1 month to add the quality to get us out of the shit.

Yeah…but we can’t just currently outbid every other team on the planet. If we buy Messi for his transfer fee and pay him a higher wage than he currently gets as people suggest, that’s practically our entire FFP leeway gone.
