We’re not going to suddenly become a decent side overnight. We’re lacking confidence, fitness and tactical discipline. When Rafa followed McClaren it took a good month before we looked anything other than complete shit, and we haven’t even appointed the new guy yet.

It’s imperative in the short term we don’t get cut adrift. In that context today is ok. We’re going to have to scrape points while we can for a while.

Given the fat shitbag didn't do tactics or training more than 2-3 times a week, hardly a shock. The rot is deep.

Why does nothing that should give us a bounce actually do?

Ashley goes, flat after 10 minutes.

Bruce goes, flat.

Equalise with 20 minutes to go, still absolutely no reaction or momentum.

The players are unfit and mentally ruined.

Well it was ugly, and we where poor for the most part, but a point is better the zero, and stops the Bruce rot. So thats something, still a hell of a job for whoever comes in to do.

A good result. These players are totally devoid of confidence because of Bruce and it will take time. I thought that the shape and discipline was a bit better and certainly an improvement. ASM looked like he was pining for Steve Bruce and wasn't enjoying working to a plan

Decent and arguably good point, which stops the rot, and it was rot, after last week. We battled to the end and could've sneaked it. We didn't give up any massive chances to suggest Palace deserved the game on anything more than simple possession. Our goal came from the individual brilliance of Callum Wilson, but let's not kid ourselves. That's how the best teams win a lot of their games.

We made sensible substitutions at a sensible time, for the first time in two seasons.

A winnable fixture has gone to waste I suppose, but we need genuine positives at a moment and there were some of them there. Not the false positives Bruce would talk about to take the heat off himself after yet another defeat. Jones has inherited a dispirited and unfit squad, so it will take time to turn things around.

Actually thought we looked a bit more likely to keep the ball with Joelinton on, as mad as that is

Yeah we looked a bit better when he came on.

If you can't look at fixtures against Crystal Palace as winnable then you're really deep, deep in trouble.

I'd be fairly confident of us beating Norwich but that's it. Not great.

It's usually the case tbh, just he can't finish for shit. Wilson apart neither can anyone else mind.

Aye, exactly where we are until things change, we're complete horse shit as things stand and I just don't see any game as one we 'should' win.

ASM didn’t look interested one bit today and he walked past Jones as though he didn’t exist when he was substituted. Longstaff is fucking totally wank also, he offers nothing and is actually a liability on the ball
