Mackems could be in a big relegation fight this year. If we get a top manager in and some quality signings in the next window, then there is still a chance for promotion. I wouldn't stick with the current manager, as the same issues that were there under Langley have not gone away.

Overall quality is really poor though.

Kelly not injured again I hope. Those three on that line plus Lumsden and Cataldo the only ones left from when I was watching them two years ago

As said, got poleaxed in the box in a mass collision. Walked off but who knows with long-term injury problems. May be just concussion protocol.

Mackems think they were the better team. Don't know what game they were watching. The quality was poor overall, but they were absolutely shocking. Keep mentioning about us scoring with every shot on target and as always getting it wrong as Lumsden and Murphy both had shots on target. One blocked near the line and one saved. Typical mackem bullshit

Decent crowd but it seems it was padded out with lots of freebies. North Shields Juniors alone were given 400 tickets. Good for kids who are usually locked out of SJP to at least get to see the inside of it for once though.

According to @TBG 400 freebies went to Cramlington WI as well 😉

Pleased we stay in touch with the top teams with the win today.

But what on earth is happening with the new manager? It's been nearly a month since Langley was sacked. If this was the men's team everyone would be going barmy about a new appointment taking this long.

I reckon it'll go to Peter Ramage, but dont think he's quite finished his badges yet.

He was very prominent on the sidelines today!
