Realistic Transfer Targets (2025/26)

Recommended Posts

Samu, Ramos and Wissa

one or two of the above is a good shortlist.

Think we’ll have to be active until deadline day at this rate.

Mitchell was 90% responsible for recruitment. What the hell was he playing at. It should have been mandatory that he saw through the most important time of the season, before leaving. It’s like a retail worker quitting during Xmas season, you actually are not allowed for the most part, in some places you can’t even take holidays during that period

Anyone seen much of Mihailo Ivanović at Millwall?

I'd never heard of him but my mate raves about him and has £50 e/w on him finishing top scorer in the championship this season.

He clearly lost the battle, his specialty was the players we should have been trying for. Eddie Howe had too much of a bias towards prem proven or proven by whether big clubs have been interested. His coaching isn’t the problem, it was his signings that got Bournemouth relegated. I know we pretend he has no weaknesses but to chase Guehi last year when our competition (B’Mouth, Forest) signed better/as good for a 5th the cost.

No one linked with Mikautadze at Lyon? Apparently Lyon only want £25m and he looks incredible at that price.

I’d love George here. Problem is that a tricky number 10 is nowadays seen as a bit of a luxury. How would he be deployed in our system, as I’m sure he won’t want to sit on the bench too often.

The fact he can spot and find those passes in a poor Leicester side, against tight teams like Man City suggests he's quality. Give him decent movement and quality players around him, and I think we'd see a serious player.

Think Woltemade really does look like an Isak replacement. We had to take a chance on Isak when he was at Sociedad, don’t see why we can’t take a chance on Woltemade. The proposed Bayern transfer looks like it’s hit a dead end. I’m sure we can meet the asking price and offer him a very very decent wage packet.

Then, ideally send Isak to Bayern on a loan with obligation to buy deal if they’d accept it. Gives them an extra year to get the money together.

Barely seen anything of him but you’ll have watched him more than anyone. What would make him a good fit? On paper he looks like a well-rounded option, but I’ve seen he hasn’t pulled up trees in Milano.

As you said, he was terrific at Feyenoord and we were interested at the time. I don’t think he got a fair chance at Milan; could be wrong but seems like they wanted rid after only a few months from reports. I think he would be available for under 40m, still only 24 and in our current predicament might be an interesting option as the Wilson replacement, but in his absence a decent first choice.
