Kieran Trippier 'hopefully back soon' (Howe)

Comes across as a good bloke and someone who has respect because of his attitude.

Always thought he was intelligent but listening to the podcast I now think it’s all a bit superficial. Every time he was pressed for more detail he struggled to give it and kept repeating himself.

probably just didn’t want to open up as much as the hosts wanted him to; probably a bit more guarded tbh

Well, I think by his own admission he's not exactly an intellectual. I don't think he tries to pretend to be anything he isn't. I think the thing that sets him apart is that he's actually learned from his life experiences, unlike many.

But I do suspect his management style would be pretty PFM-esque......

Piss poor on the 1st goal, massively unlucky on the 2nd. Poor in general today really.

Shit set pieces yet again from him yet we keep on letting him every single time.

Another one that's simply looking a bit tired. he's the target now it seems - it was Longstaff a few months back...(and that dated well)

He and Bruno are vital but they are fucking exhausted and probably playing at 70%.

We need a squad. Simples.

It is especially galling when every commentator and pundit makes the same comments every time he is about to take a free kick or corner........

.........dead ball specialist, great delivery etc.

No one would be criticising him if Schär Botman and Burn weren't all absolutely shocking at finishing.

There’s truth to this but on corners I’m sure he’s hitting the first man a ton more these days than he was at the start of the season. Mentally, he’s probably exhausted

We don't seen to threaten at all from set-pieces, not sure if its his fault or the guys trying to get on the end of it but we seem hopeless in that department.

Definitely not Trippier. He's up there as one of the best in the league for chances created from set pieces.

That free kick where he rolled it along the floor and it got intercepted was absolutely shocking.

Our players are so shit at attacking set pieices we've resorted to this kinda thing.

Most of his deliveries are bang on, we have nee fucker adept at attacking them

Not sure they are. They’re mostly very floaty and not difficult to defend. We need a Laurent Robert topspin special to mix things up.

He whips a few in like but I get what you mean about a Robert type grinder
