People were saying he was the best fullback in the world a month or so ago, now his career is over? [emoji38][emoji38]

Haven't you heard? Class is temporary, form is permanent. Keep up grandpa, before we have to put you in the retirement home along with Trips.

Seems to me that Tripps form has gone downhill since that idiot fan questioned the teams commitment on social media and and Tripps quite rightly took exception to it!

Nothing to do with it. It would be Everton away because he was flawless before that.

Didn’t someone here say he may have been burgled while he was away with the national team? Thats why he left apparently.

Burglary/marital issues have been mentioned, who knows. Whatever is going on has affected him because he’s usually the calming influence on the players on the pitch and isn’t having that effect currently.

Wish we could have another players taking left sided corners, always feel that having Trippier take them leaves us massively open to counter attacks. The amount of switching positions seemed to spread confusion in the team.

Trippier is great when playing the high press with him spending most of time attacking. This last few games he has been turned inside out by pacey wingers. When we had ASM the opposition used to double up on him but we never do that. To play one on one against the likes of Son is very risky unless you are very very good.

Good honest quotes, have complete faith he’ll return to his best but he probably needs his workload managing from now on. He can’t be played endlessly and I also think it’s better for the team if he doesn’t take every set piece when he’s on the pitch

Someone said that reason was used to hide the other alleged reason.

It's going to come to the point when we will have to hand the opposition the ball when we win a corner, when they look into the stats they will see that we are more likely to concede in that situation
