I’d love to know why Howe has no faith in Hall. It seemed obvious that Trippier needed a rest bad, so why not play Hall at left back and Timo at right back today so we have a decent Trippier ready for Milan instead of an even more knackered one? Honestly Hall has been good anytime he’s played so what’s going on?

Good chance to give him two weeks off now and get him back to full fitness. Milan is the big game in the middle of that but what is realistically gonna do in his current state? He needs rested bad.

To be fair to Trippier he'll probably do it himself in the first row of the stand showing out instructions. Like he did when injured

Drop him for Milan game and give him a longer break for me. An in form tripps is the best on the pitch but a tired one is the worst.

I think he'll be absolutely quality for a while yet when him and Livramento are used on a split basis. Asking a 33 year old to bomb it down the wing as much as he does 3 matches a week is brutal like
