Kid Icarus
We absolutely cannot afford to lose Tripps like, it's bad enough as it is in other areas without losing any right back, let alone one of his quality, and a huge leader for us. I understand Tino should be ahead of him and Tino did very well today, but Trippier's leadership would have calmed our nerves. Really hope no Turkish or whatever other club try sign him. We still need him at times like today. Could have been worse. Everton for example...
gbandit
At this stage there is absolutely zero value to us in selling him compared to what we get from him. The only time that it would have made sense was in January. Hopefully he can get himself into the best place mentally and contribute massively to our season

We saw last season that he absolutely can’t deal with 2/3 games in a week.
TBG
Could Tottenham have a case for us fielding 12 men given how long Trippier was stood on the pitch? Lack of control from Howe there.

TRon
It seems weird how much of a drop in form Trippier had over the last year or so. It's not like it was just a blip, basically all last season the set piece threat disappeared, and while he's still a good player, he basically made our right side tick in his previous two seasons. Even without the goals a lot of our great football came from his side.
80
I don't think there's any serious rupture in his relationship with Howe. Just have to see how Eddie and Tindall spoke about him in that recent video they did - both named him as their player most likely to be a good manager. He's just getting on, in a difficult personal situation that's affected his form, and is one of the few players we could actually sell for money. So they made a solid decision with a view to the future. Not an easy one, but probably the right one.
Lotus
Was surprised he didn’t come on. Someone who could find a teammate with a pass would’ve steadied us through some of those rocky moments.

STM
I'd be surprised if he went to Turkey. Saudi I can see but would have to happen today (i think). Edited September 2, 2024 by STM
Geogaddi
I literally don't see the benefit at all in us loaning him out to someone , fair enough if we can sell him and get a bit of money but loaning him is totally and utterly pointless. The Butcher
Would be mental to let him go now, without the possibilty of getting a replacement.
STM
I absolutely wouldn't let him go out on loan. I'd be tempted to sell if the right offer came in. I'd rather keep him, given the summer we've had.
SUPERTOON
Unless it was a ridiculous offer, then we need to keep him until January at least.

Bimpy474
Jon Jo has just signed for Eyupsor in the last week i believe, doubt there's much to read into that, but it would be a familiar face like.

Upthemags
One of the harshest Trips critics on here, and it makes no sense whatsoever to sell him at this point. Beginning of the window when we still had time to move? Sure. Now, how could we stomach it? We are a Livramento injury away from another crisis at that point.
