He wasn't great but felt a bit sorry for him because he never seemed to get much support from Murphy. Miggy offers a lot more from a RB perspective.

Thought he was shite all game, time for Tino to take over.

Tino's a better defender but hasn't a clue on taking position further forward when breaking which is still a massive experience part of our game.

And we can't expect them to play every game, in games we expect to dominate possession and teams to sit back I'd play Trippier.

Maybe I'm too nuanced for " he was shite all game" stuff.

I mean I think you're talking cack

I know, it's like Tonali sucked, Tripps sucked, Hall sucked, Murphy sucked, Gordon sucked, I mean almost everybody was proclaimed as being "Shite all game". That is shite in itself. It is simply not true unless you look for bad plays and disregard everything else in your mind.

Still firmly in the camp that he should start ahead of Tino. But a lot of his passing seemed really wasteful first half. Usually straight to a blue shirt.

Wasn’t just him, mind. Despite playing well overall IMO. We were very good at picking out Everton players when we were in the final third.

He gives us good creativity which is an issue because we’re still stuck with Miggy and Murphy at RW ffs.

I think he’ll go in January anyway.

Last season we were playing Burn at LB whenever he was fit, nomatter who we were playing. Even against bottom sides. It would be a new thing for us to change fullbacks based on opposition. Usually we do some testing at the start of a season, and then we largely stick to the same players in most games, except for when injuries are forcing us to make changes. This is especially true in defence. We tend to change it up a little bit more in midfield.

Out for a month, according to an ITK.

Injuries tends to happen more frequently past a certain age in football. Some players get them earlier than others, but it's not uncommon to have more injuries in the final years of your carreer. This was one of the risks of keeping him. It's just unfortunate that we're not allowed to spend, otherwise getting a replacement would be an option.

RB is not an area we are short for cover. We have Livramento, who is arguably first choice anyway, and at a push we can play Krafth who is a capable 3rd choice.

Wish we could say the same for the striker cover.
