tripps was fine.

tino came on at a time when we needed the ball further up the pitch.

I'm right about here. Although I think Tripps was pretty damn good first half.

 

I think the Tino sub was actually more tactical in nature than injury-driven.

An absolute game changer of a signing. Showed faith in the project and has pound for pound been an incredible signing. Even when he was injured in that first half season he was key to the squad. 
 

Still believe that we should have cashed in last January, particularly when he was going through shit in his personal life, but that’s in the past now.

Very much so. Glad it looks like a corner's been turned. I think he's one of the most important signings in my lifetime, so I really want things to wind down in a way that he's happy to come back in the future, as a guest if nothing else.

Most important signining for us in recent memory. And just like Bruno, Tripps looks, at least, to being on the way back to his best. Injuries cleared up, hopefully his personal situation too. Keep him until the end of the season.

 

Would be a dream to see him, Bruno and Lascelles lift a trophy together for us.

 

owh, and I realy, really, really want one more Kieran Trippier over the wall goal for us before he leaves.

He was very good yesterday. If we can afford to keep him and rotate Livro and him to keep them both healthy I'd have no problems. He can obviously still play at a high PL level.

I don’t see a world where we’re going to get any decent fee for what he contributes on the pitch. He’s still a top quality RB and hope he just sees out his career with us — mentoring Hall, Livramento and being a top footballer for our club.

I think staying fit will be a big question mark here, though. Seems to be getting more injuries in his older years.

Think the only obstacle that would stop him from staying beyond this season is his personal issues. If thay wasn't an issue, I'm sure he himself would like to retire here and perhaps go into the coaching setup.

As long as he's happy to stay, id be happy for him to finish his career here. He showed yesterday what he's still capable of, and where he's still currently better than Tino. Tino is our future and needs to play, but Trippier is still more than good enough to be playing for us and a CL push.
