I know I've banged this drum before but it's infuriating that discussions like this are being had considering the way in which he made his mark on the team at the end of the relegation season. If he or anyone else in the squad had the audacity to kick up a stink on someone else getting the captaincy, I'd hope Howe has done enough homework to remind them of exactly how he came to get the captaincy in the first place. Plays some delightful high-risk/high-reward passes into the final third, and he's so composed at the back. Stands out like a sore thumb in our team, who seem absolutely desperate to give the opposition as many opportunities as possible to build chances.
