There were a couple of particularly bad performances from him v West Ham and Brentford, with no highly obvious mitigating circumstances.

Plus he's best mates with the human filth, sending a come and get me plea via the socials.

It's a long road back for him.

Do people actually think this way?

It's quite simple isn't it? Hopefully he can stay fit and contribute if not we are up shits creek.

@The Prophet has been posting in TBG mode the last week or so, not meant to be taken seriously.

I think one @TBG is enough, The Prophet was better in analytic mode for me personally.

There's only one TBG. His longevity is phenomenal.

I understand the nature of the posts but I was responding more to the underlying message

It's exaggerated to make a point I think. There are a few loudmouths who try to get attention on social media with extreme views so maybe it's not that outlandish.

Looked good last night certainly aerially dominate but also good on the ball.

Will obviously always have the mobility weaknesses but so does Burn and he was able to recover from his injuries and perform fantastically when moved back to CB.

Always hope if Sven can stay fit and get a run of games then we still have a slightly superior version of Burn essentially. That's no criticism of Burn as he raised his game the past two years at CB and has more than filled in for Botman. I just think with the evidence we saw before the injuries, there is still a higher ceiling in Sven if he can play regularly enough to get his form back.

For past two years he's been unable to do that. Now is hopefully the chance to put a run together.

Looked much better today, but feels like he's doing his own thing, not being part of a defense, if you know what I mean.

I think Thiaw is similar.

They play well individually but the unit doesn’t seem as strong.

Both had solid games I thought but we still conceded 2.

He was the one bright spark. Quality for basically the whole game. Miley second half and Pope the only others that played well.

Perhaps should have closed Buendia down quicker. But at the same time, he was the ONLY fucker that seemed to realise these love a long shot. I think Tonali is still looking for him.

That contract extension was a good confidence boost for him. Looked like the Botman of old.

If he and Thiaw can click as a partnership (and stay healthy), have to feel really good about our backline.

I think they've got potential to work well together, although there was a stat like Thiaw has played the last 31 matches for us and in all but 2 played the full match. I think we've some dip in his performance, as evidenced against Leeds and on occasion today, but I think a back four of Hall, Botman, Thiaw and Livramento would be solid.

He should really keep his place after his recent performances. No reason to start Burn now

At the same time we need to be careful with him.

Seemed to struggle with Watkins movement the first 20 mins or so, but sorted it out and had him relatively under control from that point. Obviously he scored at the end, but don’t think that was a slight on Botman.

Thiaw needs a rest mind, played every game for months now.

Botman looking back to his best though, class.
