Mazzy
I would absolutely have Rashford here, no doubt about it. Man Utd would want a decent amount for him, possibly somewhere between £80-£90m. Not sure he's worth that at this moment in his current form and what his stats are over the last 2 seasons. Would be a massive statement regardless of that though. Plus he is versatile to an extent, could play alongside Wilson/another striker up top in a 2 or either side in a 3.
HaydnNUFC
It's more likely we'd be able to get a player in decent form and without question marks for half of £80-90m.

LRD
I don't think we will be spending 80, 90 mil on a player yet.
macphisto
I'd walk away from any fee above £25 million at the very max with a load of clauses on top to bump up the fee in the event he turned it around; we have to consider that he is currently about 6th choice to start at Man U. As a player he is on par with Delli Alli, they are of a similar age, as someone who has completely lost their way and possibly never going to reach their potential. elbee909
Linked with Eden Hazard again. Can't help but think this rumour is complete bullshit.
cubaricho
Of course it is. Eddie doesn’t want that kind of energy in the clubhouse.
Emotic
I’d reckon the summer buys will be “names with potential” that won’t be household names - not many of us would’ve heard of Guimaraes, Botman and Diego Carlos prior to our interest in them. So our summer shortlist will be more of that ilk. Dan Ashworth supposedly joining us points to that too. Expect “moneyball, but with a higher budget ceiling” kind of signings. Lesser-known, younger, hungrier, less ego and more willing to prove themselves, good characters. Basically the opposite of Eden Hazard.
Zero
I prefer a few more Dan Burn over one Marquee Signing at this moment.

His contract is up at the end of next season, I’d say £50-£60m would get him usually but we all saw the shite they apparently pulled with Lingard. Whitley mag
This Diaby from Levurkusen and Antony from Ajax are exactly the type of players I think we’ll go for in summer. If we had either of them alongside St Max and Fraser as wide forwards, we’d be looking good in the wide areas next season. Still like the idea of Paqueta linking up again with Bruno and a top class striker like Nunez would be the icing on cake. Fucking seriously exciting times under Howe’s management on the way. Just hope we stay clear of big clubs trying to offload highly paid cast offs in our direction. With Nickson doing the scouting though I think we’ll target young hungry players to lower age of squad. Guest
If we can get an interested Rashford he’d be an amazing signing. First choice striker who can play one of the wide areas (or vice versa) if needed is the sort of player we’re missing. I don’t doubt that with Howe, Trippier and the general vibe at the club at the moment we’d get him firing. I’m not sure I can see us shelling out for him though and I can see us going to the continent for targets. They may ofcourse go back in for Lingard again who is tried and tested as a winger and available on a free to play on that right side.

You see I don’t agree with the tried and tested bit towards Lingard, he’s not regularly played for years. He has had a good loan spell and is getting on now. I thought it made sense back in January, but I think there'll be better, younger options available in the summer

It’ll be interesting to see who we go for in various positions to be honest. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a mix of some premier league ready players and a few from abroad. I think we'll be ran similar to the likes of Dortmund or Atalanta just with a bigger budget. The players we go for should be in the 20-24 bracket as we currently have one of the oldest average squad ages in the league.
Cronky
I've never been completely convinced about Rashford, either as a wide player or as an out and out striker. He's okay at both but doesn't excel at either. I also worry that all the attention has gone to his head a bit, but maybe that's unfair. If Eden Hazard is fit and the fee isn't extortionate, I'd definitely take him. He could be our Beardsley. A good player in that role can make a big difference. And when he does play, he’s not very good. Definitely on a downward trajectory.

Think Coutinho for a recent example.
r0cafella
Hazard is obviously brilliant but he’s 31, often injured and would cost a kings ransom. I wouldn’t be unhappy or say no, but I would prefer we bought someone who is younger and can improve. Also, on a related note our signings this summer will be so interesting. I wonder if Howe will look to change shape again once he can reshape the squad.

Hazard has been injured but it’s also well publicised he doesn’t look after himself off the pitch, leading to weight and fitness issues
