Think Chukuwemeka is the lad that tore our youth team to piecesa year or two ago. Put him

in

mt ffteam

last season hoping he would come through and I’d get a good player in the cheap

He's very promising, him, Cameron Archer, Jacob Ramsey, Arron Ramsey, Tim Iroegbunam, those are the great hopes in the youth team.

However, word is that Chuckwuemeka's agent is an absolute dick, has been demanding stuff like guaranteed playing time, huge money, and also trying to sell him to pretty much anyone big in Europe for a while.

He looked quality in the recent U-23 tournament recently, but in a few PL appearances for us looked like a boy amongst men. Compared to Iroegbunam who looked comfortable.

He's trouble, and the sooner he leaves, the better.

It won't be to you, though (no offence). HIs agent thinks he's Barcelona material.

Have Barcelona been linked with bloody everybody this window? Fuck me.

Truly believe at this stage Barca are going to need La Liga and/or UEFA to decide they're too big to go bust in a couple years. Not sustainable at all what they're currently doing.

20m I thought he was out of contract and we were talking about a few million compo and playing him in the reserves. No way we are in the running at that price surely.

Edit: OK this all makes sense reading back and seeing the below. Thanks @brummie

This is a player who divides opinion. I thought he was disappointing in his spell here. Somehow, he didn't seem to impose himself on a game as much as he could have. Did well eventually at LIverpool, but they're better than nearly every opponent that they face, and the demands are different.

Plus, he might block the progress of Longstaff and Anderson. I'd say no.

A big NO from me.He didn’t  look interested when we played away.We already have Willock in that role.

Surely we have to be aiming higher?

I don't believe that rumour tbh. Sounds like a complete shot in the dark, unless Brentford have suddenly dropped their valuation or we've dropped our standards.

For about £20m maybe.

Can't see him going for less than 35m. Must be able to do better for that kind of coin. He would be a great addition and ultimately I wouldn't complain but we can surely do better.

Saw 30m being mentioned as enough. That would probably be pretty tempting. He is very different to what we have and an explosive forward. If it was simply 30m it not bad for a proven PL goal scoring forward. Would tie us over for a year.
