I suspect they will try to shoehorn Isak in by moving Ekitike to the wing, where he will be less effective.

He looks much stronger than I expected.

He's also on a hot streak with three goals from four shots on target. Since this is likely to deny Isak the game time he needs to get over his self-imposed non-preseason, it is deliciously timed.

There is some comfort, not much admittedly, from knowing that we had identified and tried to sign both Ekitike and Szoboszlai before being trumped by bigger money (in their pocket) and better chance of winning things/more prestige which comes with an established tier 1 club. 
There’s more comfort from knowing that we got Tonali and Woltemade in their place. With both of them (for very different reasons) we had to wait, and will probably have to wait, a season to see the best of them. If you add doubling our money on Voldemart ( 🇸🇪) then along with other signings it shows there is not much wrong with our scouting network. We’re fishing in the right ponds, but missing out on big fish when others have better bait isn’t going to change any time soon.
