Nice thread on him by a scout in the game

Potential's supposedly there but needs to bulk up and be given lots of confidence for him to succeed. Just bed him in like we did Bruno and hopefully we'll pay dividends down the line

Really good read that. Lad who wrote it looks about 12 too so fair play to him.

Basically stick him on the bench for the first 3 games then unleash the beast?

Anything relating to stats is interesting so it's good the club will make the most of it, from February

"StatsBomb’s performance data will allow the Tyneside club to generate detailed insights from thousands of match events across dozens of league and cup competitions worldwide. Newcastle will be able to analyse specific StatsBomb metrics across all of its matches and evaluate its opponents’ performances too. Unique StatsBomb metrics include Pressures by Team and Player, Player Positioning on Shots, and Pass Height & Footedness Information.

As part of the agreement, Newcastle will also benefit from the Statsbomb IQ platform, which will enhance the club’s tactical decisions and talent identification process throughout their current and future campaigns."

Common sense stuff for the modern age but exciting for a club stuck in the past in many ways being brought to date

To be fair it’s the new chant that has swung it for this lad, no other clubs fan base in Europe has shown the same level of imagination as the Toon Army when they came up with the new crowd favourite

Don’t break my heart, my Ekitike heart, I just don’t think he’d understand.
‘Cos when you score a goal, my schlong stiffens like a pole, and might just blow up and kill this man”

I’m here all week

Always find the Northern Echo to be hit or miss, but if it's true the regulars (Hope, Downie) will chip in later I'm sure https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/20187895.hugo-ekitike-agrees-join-newcastle-united-reims/

HUGO EKITIKE has told Reims officials he is ready to join Newcastle United once his international responsibilities with France Under-20s are completed.

Ekitike has told Reims officials he is ready to leave, and it is understood that information has been relayed to senior officials at Newcastle.

The teenager will have to complete a medical and finalise personal terms before his transfer is completed, but that is unlikely to happen until he has finished playing for France Under-20s in the Maurice Revello tournament.

The victory means France finished on top of their group and qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament, which are due to take place on Thursday, with the final scheduled for Sunday, June 12.

It is not impossible that Ekitike could leave the French camp in order to complete his move to Newcastle, although with everything having been agreed between the Magpies and Reims, it is more likely that he will remain with the France squad for the remainder of the competition before travelling to England in the following week to tie up the loose ends of his transfer.

Newcastle have also made progress in their pursuit of Lille centre-half Sven Botman, although the Dutchman is also the subject of strong interest from newly-crowned Italian champions AC Milan.

Botman, who is another player the Magpies initially attempted to sign in January, is expected to make a decision on his future in the next couple of weeks, with Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe hoping the 22-year-old will reject Milan’s advances and opt for a move to Tyneside.

It should obviously be H.U.G.O to F.E.A.R by Ian Brown but I cannot be bothered thinking up a load of gibberish for the lyrics.

Hugo understands goals organically

Hugo uses guile often

Hugo's upperhand gifts obliteration

Hugo unveils gratification obsessively

H.U.G.O......H.U.G.O.....
