Quite easily I'd imagine. Example: Player has a £30m release clause. Contract says club must accept if (insert reasonable number of payments) is offered. E.g. Club has to accept 5 installments of £6m, but nothing less (6 installments of £5m and so forth) Seems reasonable to assume that exists in many contracts Most clubs cannot front up huge sums in one go Basically just insert a time-limit of how quickly the money must be paid.
