Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

I wasn't happy playing with no Striker on the pitch, but tbf to Howe, he took a gamble and it worked.

I still don't think he played badly, but remember he is third choice striker now in the grand scheme of things

We looked a much better side with no striker than with him up top, he hardly does anything right, tripper kept trying to pick him out but he's always in the wrong position.

This. I'd rather play any other fucker in the squad as a "false 9" compared to that plank.

He knew he had this game to keep his shirt if he put a performance in against a dodgy defence and spent the match standing between the two centre backs offering nothing. Not the first time I have written: I hope I never have to watch him again.

Significantly inferior to the player of 2 years ago or so at Burnley. I really can’t think of one thing he’s remotely good at.

I think this could be nail on the head. We bought players whose legs had gone several times in the past, Geremi, Alan Smith, Nicky Butt maybe, and Wood increasingly looks like another one of them. He shouldn't have been as bad as this.

He used to be a really decent forward, never amazing but he could bully defenders back in his Leeds days. Playing for Burnley, especially in their style of football has just finished him

Even at £25m and panic stations, I expected so much more from him.

You could have picked up a L1 clogger for £1m who'd have returned more than he has. Think the best thing he's done so far is meow at Zouma.

He didn't even do that - it was a wind-up post I believe

Having to watch him attempt to play football is making me hate him irrationally (actually it's not irrational as he is just so awful at everything an attacker should be good at). I wish any fucker would take him off our hands.

Ah ffs. Thought he did. I've been giving him that as a let off for months.

He's clearly not good enough, but a lot of the problem is we don't play the kind of football he needs to be effective.

He needs high balls slung into the box that he can attack and we just don't play that way.

I'm not suggesting he'd be a good player if we did that, and I'm certainly not suggesting we should change our style of play to accommodate him. I'm just saying we're not exactly giving him a chance to shine when we play needing a mobile forward who can play on the deck and he's a big target man who relishes high balls.

We’ve never played to his strengths since he came , let’s face it he’s now 3rd choice and done his job last season. He is what he is , I’ve yet to work out what that is [emoji38]. He’s a good honest lad I don’t mind for the cups .

Tis what it is. Thick cunts still frothing over the £25m when it's been explained to them on numerous occasions the nature of the deal and the reasons it was done.

They know we need a better option and they'll get one.

Don’t think he was especially bad today, didn’t really notice him. I think we put in one decent cross while he was on and the defender nearly scored an OG.

Just need to ride out the rest of his contract and wave him off into the sunset.

We must have had more than 10 corners today with him on the pitch. He might as well have been on knees for all of them. Useless.

What does he do, take the corners then run into the box to head them?

Fuck off man, divvy
