Pleased for him, never gave less than 100% here, be great if he can find a bit of form at Forest.

Agreed and it wasn’t just about the goals with him but some people couldn’t see the woods for the Forrest.

The thing is, when we bought him, no one was under any illusions he had any significant skills, we just thought he's a guy who could put the ball in the net.

He didn't for us though, but not going to complain, we did well enough with him in the side, and we got a good chunk of our money back.

Never had an issue with Chris Wood. Always tried his best. Limited but at least he was always fit and was a target man. We couldn’t turn down the money cos of FFP but I liked him as a bench option.

Weirdly happy for him.

never had an issue with him either. Apparently a cracking lad and leader in the dressing room too.

Defended him when he was here. Never said he was great but could see the benefit of having a focal point as opposed none (which was the option most of the time and as we know once again its better to have fit strikers than unfit good ones). He was a good lad by all accounts, didn't hide and an honest pro. And as if being a far better player and helping to achieve special things here would spare you being slaughtered by some of our number.

Two of his three goals were quality finishes. Where was all this when he played for us 😀

Southampton away was a lovely goal.

He was also someone I felt very confident about from the penalty spot, think because he looked so confident himself. Which is extremely rare with us even with the likes of Beardsley, Cole, Lee an Solano.

Played really well today, was never going to emerge from the shadow of the price tag when he was here. If it'd been anyone but us I'd have been delighted for him like. Not celebrating is always a touch of class as well.
