Newcastle United vs. Everton 08/02/2022 @ 7.45pm (BT)

I think as Howe is a positive manager, and going by the quotes we have heard bruno telling his teammates in a cup game, he is deffo going to put Bruno on the pitch.

We will stick with a 433, with Jonjo on the pitch for 60 mins and then willock coming on to give a bit extra in the final stretch. I would have Joe on the left of midfield to provide extra cover for asm.:

--------------------Dubs--------------------------

Trippier--------Schar------Burn-----------Targett

----Shelvey(willock)------Bruno---------Joe--------

Fraser---------------Woods--------------ASM--

Think this is what I'd like to see....but Lascelles will start.

Also think Wood will start ahead of Woods :bluestar:

Sure he was called Woods at some point, maybe when he was at Leeds, they are a bit backward down there...:carverlick:

Have they been playing a back 3 all season? I look at the side they had out on the weekend and I feel a bit more confident. I don't think he'll start Alli or VdB due to lack of gametime but they'll make an appearance, I'm sure.

I'd like to think that we can win the midfield battle, tbh.

Big fitness news out of NUFC this morning… Callum Wilson has no return date & Eddie Howe is hoping he will be back for “the last few games” of the season. New signing Dan Burn is also a doubt for tomorrow with a toe problem.

That makes not signing another striker a joke.

Wouldn't read too much into Howe's comments, tbh. He made it sound like Dummett wouldn't start vs. Watford but he did. Hopefully, it's just a ploy to keep Everton guessing as we have the advantage of unpredictability.

I'm hoping this too. My only gripes with Howe so far are selection based, he needs to start getting it right now.
