Could end up being considered our greatest ever player, when you put the whole package together.

It just shows that personality counts for something. Hes not just adored for his footballing ability, but who he is.

Because he’s been rested.

He’s played damn near every minute for 3 years. A little rest here and there has helped him.

He’s only behind Shearer for me.

He's only been rested against Spurs and came on at half time anyway

Mate I go to the game with thinks that he’s overrated  mental.

Otherwise agree on a lot of football opinions and he’s a really intelligent bloke. So I find it all the more strange.

The corner was right in front of us. I enjoyed repeatedly slapping him on the head and telling him how wrong he was during the celebrations

He's got weaknesses that should point to a lesser player, but he is such a fucking force for us they get blown away. He is a superb captain to have,he's purity here

That still has an impact.  His minute are being managed. The previous 2 seasons he was playing every game 90 minutes if ot was competitive.

I'd imagine he's played more minutes this season than he had at this point last season?

Him getting 1 rest against Bournemouth months ago I don't think has made much difference

What are the weaknesses?

Hes slow and doesn’t win headers in midfield. That’s about it. He runs all day.  Tactically disciplined. Progresses the ball.  Creates. Scores. Battles.

The only CM near him in my lifetime is Tonali.  The only thing Tonali is considerably better than a Bruno is being quick.

That’s how load management works.  Once you approach red zone or high fatigue -let’s say 85%. Once you get there a small rest gets you back to 70% and you can continue for another few weeks. Small rest and go again.

He might be doing more minutes overall but the minutes back off when he’s fatigued so he’s not playing through high levels of fatigue at any point.

Compared to last season no European football sure.  But come Feb - he’s at 95%. He gets a week to rest but then he’s playing 90 minutes non stop week in week out. Permanently camped in the red zone and at low physical and mental performance.

Prime Pep was brilliant at this and he'd do it across his squad, at most players would play 5-6 games in a row, which is why picking City players in FPL was annoying

This is something Howe seems to be getting better with

Watching him trying to recover ground is a bit alarming. He has a habit of running into trouble deep in our half and it hasn't really been addressed. He has an odd ball striking technique that makes some of his shooting a bit limp.

Love love the rest of his game

He rarely ever gives the ball away in our half ???

he's been prone to giving the ball away in dangerous areas for some time imo

Thats just not true. I know why you think that though because I get surprised when he gives the ball away but im sure the stats will show his pass completion is top notch.

Thats the thing about perceptions. When class players do it, you really notice. I bet he gives the ball away less than anyone in our team.
