I’m not confident that we get to the top. So I’m really appreciating what Bruno G is doing for us. We’ve never had a midfielder so good. We may never see a CM so good again.   

 

Again he was Stevie G-esque. Took the game by the scruff. Ran with it. Created. And slapped one into the corner.

I do think that because he is slow, because he tries some high risk stuff or maybe the low percentage attacking passes.  He gets underrated a bit or not really appreciated enough.

 

He basically plays every minute he can for club and country.  He is hardly ever injured.  He covers every blade of grass when he is on the pitch, no matter how slowly  and he is our talisman.  He is a passion merchant with all the ability in the world to back it up.  He looks like he should be a skillful luxury player.  Yet he plays with as much fire and passion as prime Tiote, Batty or a local lad like Big Dan Burn.  He just fully gets it and his workrate is unmatched.  

 

I think he is quite unique as a midfielder and if he were to be missing for a long spell or God forbid, he moved onto another club.  We'd soon realise how much we miss him.

The highest quality all-round player we've had in terms of skills, leadership, drive, passion, love for the club, desire to win, ambition etc. 

Total package. 

Speed is the only thing anyone can say against him. 

If he had that as well he would be at Real Madrid.

He wouldn't look out of place at one of those superclubs.

Yep. Thankfully the talk of cashing in on him or upgrading has calmed down now, but it was relentless for a while. Total short-sighted idiocy. You don’t sell Bruno. Players like him very, very rarely come along.

The fact he’s rarely injured also makes him under rated. We are used to him.  
 

Stevie G himself couldn’t even Stevie G once he lost the pace (tbf he also lost the stamina). Bruno has fantastic ability but he’s also willing himself to greatness. The constant running that looks absolutely painful, game in game out. No injuries. The chemistry in his brain keeps his legs and heart and body going. How does he cope with all the intensity? 
 

I love Big Joe. But he can’t cope. 
 

Maybe the lack of fast twitch fibres in his  body is a net positive for endurance and injury prevention. A muscular and explosive lad like Joelinton or back in the day Michael Essien couldn’t sustain that over the years at this intensity.

I'll be honest I had a spell questioning his leadership and mobility but have always remained positive cause what I see is an absolute gem by ways of influence at the club. However, in this last week it has become evident - he makes us tick.

 

His personality, his influence his ability -  we need someone to protect that next week.

 

We win the fight we win the game comfortably. We are more talented than them.

 

Bruno is a king. An absolute king.
