Was about 67 seconds into the game haha

I reckon Armchair replicates his, former, pre match experience at home now.

Stands in the kitchen necking cans, listening to rave music at full blast while his lass pretends to be a stripper as if he was in Idols.

Missed the first minute cos he leaves the kitchen 5 mins before kick off and has a quick piss on the way.

Explains the delay 😉

A CB injury away from Paul Dummett. Let's fucking go.

Who hasn’t put a foot wrong every time he has come in this season.

Anyone making the claim that Dummett is a poor defensive option is off the mark. He’s made of glass and he has little to zero footballing ability on the ball but he’s an excellent defender. Wouldn’t exactly be delighted to see him turn out but it wouldn’t be because of his defending

Any updates on his injury?

Didn’t really mention it. Although he did say something about looking forward to playing against Sunderland, but could have just meant generally, rather than meaning himself specifically.

They have clipped it up and put it on the Football Daily podcast for anyone that wants to catch up.

When you get past the Sheff U stuff. Burn and the journo bloke go into a bit of detail about the modern game changing. Loads of stuff people have touched on before. Spontaneity, individualism, maverick type of players being phased/coached out of the game. Now more about outrageously good ball players from a passing POV and teams with identity. But often lacking those instinctive, rogue type players.

Bit of a tangent. But I’d love to hear more in depth insight on stuff like that. Perhaps from an ex-coach or player that has recently retired. So that they can be a bit more candid about what has changed and how youth set ups and coaching has evolved. For the good and the bad.

Burn talks really well. Think he has got on the Monday Night Club a couple of times now and heard him on Talksport a few times. Perhaps he’s actively looking to get into media work after he hangs his boots up.

Thought he came across really well to be honest. Obviously got a more up top than some other footballers aswell so less likely to make an idiot of himself.

Nice to have him back. If we take the lead against Milan and start to struggle towards the end of the game it could be invaluable to have him as an option on the bench to shore up the defence.

It will be lovely finally rotating and subbing off fullbacks when they look tired.

Burn still has a massive role to play even when everyone is fully fit. We need to actually use our defensive substitutes.

Absolutely especially to close games out when leading take off a forward for an extra defender

Will be good to have him back for Fulham with Tino going to right-back.

Could push Lascelles out if we wanted to move Schar back to RCB. He was poor against Brighton but him and Schar (with Dubravka just behind them funnily enough) was solid in the second half of the 21/22 season.

I would be hugely surprised if that was true. I was talking to him after the Man Utd game and he was still visibly in pain. Unless something has miraculously changed in the last two weeks.

That was just your patter.
