Fenham Mag
He'll not get a minute if we bring him back, just buy someone who we can at least bed in and ready for next season.

I must admit though, we are one of the few clubs Especially at elite level which always seems to be reluctant about something or other
Nucasol
Any sort of success in the FA and CL and we’ll continue playing 2 games a week until late March. We can’t keep going with Lewis Hall alone and will need BDB for CB with Schar’s injury and Lascelles non-existence. I say get him back if we don’t want to compromise the summer budget. TK-421
Well at least he's been getting game time, so up to speed, albeit at Champo level. But aye, looks like we aren't buying anyone this window unless desperate and/or some amazing deal comes up.
wormy
It's probably a harsh perspective but he's out of contract at the end of this season, isn't he? I don't imagine we're offering him a new one so if Boro have kindly got him match fit, we might as well make use of him while we can, even if Lewis stays fit and he ends up mostly bench filler. ExiledGeordie
I’d bring him back if we aren’t going to sign a LB and if it means we can rest Hall a bit.
Menace
Tino's injury probably more serious than originally thought then
Barnes23
Makes sense to bring him back, by all accounts has been in good form at Boro. If he can get close to his best levels for us he's a capable PL player.
James
It would be a bad decision to bring him back, his body is not physically up to Howe’s training demands and he will get injured
Big River
Tiggs is a baller, I'm not sure why people hate him so much I think it's because he looks like the sherminator, has crippling eczema, but still shags.

He'd be 3rd choice LB behind Hall & Tino but it pushes Burn out of the LB picture. He'll likely get minimal game time like the last 2 and a half seasons but at least it's not leaving us short. Sign someone long term in the summer. Edited January 12 by Optimistic Nut
soyt
You knew it would come to this - we need him again to lead us to a trophy.
Sibierski
Bringing him back now rather than 12 days ago, better late than never, but it’s reactive stuff again. Why has Tino situation changed things when we needed a LB anyway.
healthyaddiction
I guess because Tino was the backup left back, not he's not available we have no backup.

Yep, that’s the thinking, although arguably Tripps and Krafth could cover but neither have been consistently fit too.

Poor decision making really, having your first choice RB be the back up LB. Means little rest for them, because in a game one of Trippier or Hall would likely need to come off and Tino is the guy to come on.
samptime29
Bring him home.
Deuce
Maybe he’ll bookend his time here with a pair of top class half-seasons
Kid Icarus
I'd bring him back personally. The whole reason he's at Boro is because you'd expect that having 3 LBs in the squad would be enough cover. It ending up that we're down to one, who's also had injury problems this season is a strange set of circumstances that needs a temporary fix which wouldn't really be solved by bringing someone new in. SteV
Interesting quote from the Boro forum: Quote Agree Targett is a contender for player of the season imo he’s been excellent along with Ayling.
SUPERTOON
I would guess we will respect Targetts wishes and let him stay.
