Think Everton got their defensive recruitment spot on. Tarkowski and Coady have looked good the couple of times I've seen them this season here and against Liverpool. No frills but solid and what they needed after last season.

Yeah, annoyingly they were just the type of players they needed. Still not convinced Maupay was a good buy though, despite that goal.

Maupay is a PL striker, which is what Everton need while DCL is away doing his fashion shoots.

I think sometimes there's an expectation that shite clubs can just sign quality players and everything will be OK. Sometimes they just need some solid PL players. We did it with Burn and Targett, even Wood to a lesser extent.

Lampard has done a decent job sorting their defence and midfield out this season.

Yeah, very impressed with the work he's done.

They are very well organised and really competitive.

West Ham are a disgrace after the money they've spent

I really can't believe it

That Onana played a blinder deciding against going there and joining Everton instead, and I thought he was nuts at the time

Good signing for them, fair to say that although Lampard and Gerrard always got compared and sort of lumped together as players and now as managers, I think Lampard has more chance of developing and succeeding than Gerrard. What that will translate to, I don't know but I think he's a better all-round manager
