For those who can access the thread, have a look at the state of these posts man. Actually willing the North East on to be seen as a shithole, all in the hope that keeps NUFC from being successful. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nufc-sportswashing-compendium-thread-jan-mar-2023.1597866/post-37992688

For those who can't access the thread, here are some of the comments. They are the saddest & most bitter fanbase in the country, bar none.

"they will pull out within 3 years once man u and spurs get taken over and they realise the north east really is viewed as a cess pit to anyone with significant wealth".

"The day will be magnificent".

"They'll build a Sheikdome in Longbenton imo".

"£2k a season ticket / £150 a match ticket.

Your lifelong / working class NUFC fans priced out.

Be f***ing lifting for them.

The sportswashed amongst them are either too dense or in denial about what is to come".

"Or of course the owners will pie them off as soon as a more attractive club becomes available in a more attractive area of global influence".

Wow.  The lack of self-awareness if amazingly admirable in a way. Only reason most people know of Sunderland is that it's 'next to Newcastle'.

Can't believe any of them actually believe that stuff, as our increasing popularity will only benefit them in the long term with more attention to the region in general.

I have always said that a Geordie wishing for bad things to happen in Sunderland, and a mackem wishing for bad things in Newcastle keeps us all poor and stupid.

Football rivalry should be kep far aside from everything else. Jobs being lost in Hylton, shouldn’t be a consolation to the man in Walker who’s lost his.

They don't seem to understand PIF didn't want a so called big 6 club , they wanted a project to build a club and make them part of the top 6, Newcastle were the next best thing outside the big 6 in terms of support and potential.

The darts ticket for tonights went on sale October last year I think and Dobey was nowhere near in the running to quality for the Premier League so can people keep an eye on the utter FEWM over there from those red and whiters in attendance (never mind those watching at home!) when he comes out to ‘Local Hero’ aided by Wor Flags, please!

Thing with Boro is dead simple… They’re desperate to be hated by someone but the truth is, nobody really does..

Up north, we’re too busy with Sunderland and vice versa so they have to turn their attentions down south…

Unfortunately Leeds are too focussed on Man U to even consider Boro…. and I suppose even Darlington and Hartlepool were too pre occupied with each other to worry about them..

So unfortunately for our friends from North Yorkshire, they are stuck in no man’s land without a true rival… and are seen as no more than an irritant albeit on different scales to different folk..

Boro flit between being a North East club to a Yorkshire club as it suits.

Everyone from Berwick Rangers down to Donny Rovers counts as a derby match. It's nowt more than a marketing ploy to entice more folk along and boost attendances as much as they can as often as they can. Which you can't really blame them for.

They don't want to hear that though as it doesn't suit their narrative. They've convinced themselves of so much bollocks as a coping mechanism that its only going to make it even more painful the more successful we become.

You see many Sunderland fans being bitter towards us and vice versa.

The only issue Sunderland have at the minute is Newcastle fans don't see Sunderland as any threat anymore for obvious reasons...us being in the premier league and them spending a long time in league one.

This has ramped up their hatred for Newcastle and on top of that Newcastle United now have owners who are extremely ambitious and it's given their fans another good reason in their minds to get more bitter and use politics to add boulders to their stone throwing arsenal.

If they had a takeover like ours with a promise of ambition like ours they would be shouting it from the rooftops and arguing their position.

Of course many would deny this because it isn't happening for them at the minute.

The thing is Newcastle fans would be doing the same if the boot was on the other foot and we were in their position and them in ours.

It's just about people owning up to it all.

We are almost being told to apologise for being Newcastle fans by those who suddenly develop a stringent set of morals when it suits.

This applies to all rivalries anywhere but in Newcastle's case it becomes ultra bitter among many because It's Newcastle United who are a north east club and many people don't like to think a club from the north east can challenge the elites.

Sunderland fans are just another bitter voice jealous of the potential we have.

As somebody has correctly pointed out in that thread if they didn’t hijack Washington in the 70’s they would never have had a population comparable to Newcastle.

Half the folk in Washington don’t even want to be classed as Sunderland. Imagine that one of the biggest areas in your own city where the majority support your biggest rivals.

Daft cunts.
