I know that their arse has fell out in the last few games, but I honestly think they’ll go up.

I think the only team they couldn’t beat would have been Burnley.

Of course it would be hilariously funny if Coventry knock them out, or they lost in the final again. If they do come up though I couldn’t really give a fuck. I’d be nervous ahead of the derby because they are fluky enough to beat us, and you can guarantee that they’ll be given us after a midweek European tie. However over the course of the season, we won’t be anywhere fucking near them.

We will be doing different things. We will be trying to assemble a squad that can compete for a title challenge in a few years, they will be trying to assemble a squad that can hang onto a Premier League place for when the Premier League decide to close shop.

Nah, they can't score man. Form has absolutely nosedived and I'm loving it.

They’re having a great season. Trouble is, their expectations are ridiculous. If they go up they’ll get hammered and the fans will turn on them, if they don’t go up they’ll struggle to match this season and the fans will turn on them.

 

They need to remember they were in League 1 very recently and struggled to get out of it.

Champions League push. As big as us and Villa. As big as Forest is an arguement. Their fanbase can sustain Premier League football - despite all evidence to the contrary on the field and in gate receipts.

Don't think I've seen as much delusion in a paragraph.

If they do go up, he’ll likely sell to the first American consortium who get in contact with him.

Their delusion is the biggest millstone around that clubs neck.

 

Constantly bigging up their players in an utterly desperate attempt to match up to their far bigger rivals means that when the truth is laid bare they inevitably fall short.  


And then the knives come out. They’ll be stuck in this cycle for the foreseeable future.

Our absolutely horrible 90/91 season (rank it as the worst non-Ashley season I personally experienced,) the epitome of midtable, lost at home to Bristol Rovers and Notts County, rock bottom Hull did the double over us etc. We were closer to automatic promotion than these this season.

Here I am, worried at the thought of us slipping to the doldrums of 6th place whereas our nearest and dearest have it all figured out already.

If cracking the top 4 was so easy you wonder why they've only finished in the top 10 3 times in living memory. 

For the record, if we indeed did slip to 6th place, that's still higher than they've finished in 70 years.

 

By what metric have us and Villa not been back in the prem long? Since the PL form we've spent a combined 5 seasons out the PL. They nearly spent that in L1 alone!

I've assumed for months that these will ace the playoffs, such is the lack of quality elsewhere. But their form + it being Coventry have sent me too far the other way..... too confident now :lol:
