Harry 209
Just had a look at the hilarious 'Derby Day Tifo' thread on RTG. One of them has suggested displaying a banner that reads: 'SUNDERLAND AFC - DOING THINGS THE RIGHT WAY'

RodneyCisse
Not knowing many players they have, how impacted are they going to be by afcon? Second to that for anyone who knows, how many will be gone by Derby day?

The Fountain
In all the time we played Arsenal when Xhaka was there I never once prayed he didn't play, yet apparently we're shit scared off him now.

Absolute bullshit as usual, why the fuck would we be shit scared when we have better players in the same position.
Whitley mag
I think we’ll beat them on the day, it’ll be scrappy and nervy but we’ll come through it. Things have to turn for us shortly or I think we’ll see big changes including the manager.

Yeah, weird one. He played in that 2-0 end of the first season with PIF and we ruined their midfield.

Although some will only miss 3 league games at most - they’re spread out between 5 countries, so it’ll be a staggered return throughout. Those 3 games will be very tough though. The African players likely leave after that gameweek. Usually been the case for prem players previously leaving for it.

The sad cunts It will affect them massively, although PSR probably already was. Their chairman was on about how they might dip in the transfer market in January if a top 10 position is possible. PSR puts a limit on them. Their commercial revenue is absolutely fucking shit. I think our Adidas deal alone was worth more than all their commercial revenue in their last set of full accounts. They will obviously have Premier League TV money now, and some commercial deals will have increased, but it won’t be anywhere near other clubs. How long are those crowds going to last? We know that as soon as their team dips, their crowd fucks off. If they will struggle to sell £40 tickets, how will they sell corporate tickets for much more? It was pointed out a little while back that their income for selling out with the ticket prices that they have and those that they had to give away as well the discounted tickets was the equivalent of Norwich selling out their stadium at the going rate for tickets. The Norwich owners are now on collision course with their fans over expanding their stadium and creating corporate and fanzone facilities because their ticket revenue is now no longer sufficient to mount a challenge for promotion. With work, we do quite a bit of work in Sunderland, an the amount of shirts that they have sold since they got promoted is telling, but again this is on the back of the promotion an having a shirt that is a popular historic strip that they had. Well everyone is doing that, I think Leeds’ last season was one of the best selling Adidas kits. Every club is doing that, and most clubs at the higher end of the are charging more for their kits and selling more of them. I don’t even think their kit deal is directly with Hummel either, I’m sure it’s still with that company based in Spennymoor. As it’s been said by plenty of fans from plenty of teams though. These rules are there not just to protect the top 6, but also to protect the likes of Crystal Palace, Brighton, Brentford etc from being challenged by the likes of Sunderland. They might have some decent players now, but even if they sold them all in the summer, Brighton etc have already done that 5 times over and made more money than them.
