andycap
He's becoming a scapegoat I've noticed. If we let a goal in if he's anywhere near it, it doesn't matter if another player can clear it it's his fault.
jackyboy
It bothers me when I see us still playing Lascelles for us . It's like going back in time

Ideally we'd upgrade him, as his kicking is an issue but this re-write of history that he's utter shite, is just wrong, and we'll be fine if we don't get another keeper in. It's not just a 'bit of an issue' though is it? It effects our possession in our own third to an almost comical degree.

Something like that. There was a fake blood incident in a Harlequins game once (might be what you're referring to), utterly bizarre.

DevonGeordie
Didn’t watch but sounds like the lads had a good run out, good to see Elanga on the scoresheet too and at least it wasn’t a completely embarrassing scoreline.
Slim
Absolutely gutted by the result. Played well and didn't deserve that!
M1tche
I thought it was decent performance, considering we only really had 4 starting outfield players on the pitch at any 1 time (depending on who you pick as the starting CBs)
Emotic
Also, everyone slating Ashby, when I thought he was....ok? Useful for a cup campaign against third-tier opponents at least.

Myleftboot
Did we play the usual 4-3-3 formation?
Kilcline
1 minute ago, Myleftboot said: Did we play the usual 4-3-3 formation? Yes in the first half, Willock was the most advanced in the press with Bruno and Tonali sitting so it looked more 4-2-3-1 until we were back in shape. Second half was 5-2-3/3-4-3/5-4-1 depending on what you call it for the first 25 until Botman went off, then I think it was supposed to be the same but got very chaotic after Ashby came on, Tino was nominal RB/RCB in a 3 but was popping up all over while Ashby stayed in a RWB position
KingArthur
How did we look? Way off the pace both teams I guess.

Took photos with the Cup and looked at some expensive merch. Watched the second half online and tbf it was a decent game.

Exactly that, there's loads of times where he to basically pass it out sideways into touch as he hasn't got composure to take extra touch etc. I really don't get how fans complain about us not progressing this summer but then say it's ok Pope is more than good enough if we don't bring anyone in. I just think you have to look at the modern game and accept having a keeper with top feet is a must.
