Personally I think it will be quite close to this, at least in terms of the design approach and level of detail. It’s similar to the likes of Man City. 
 

It’ll be much closer to this than the minimalist ones like Juventus.

Why can't we just keep our current crest but have a secondary simplified version for the shirts etc like Liverpool have done?

I suppose we could, but I guess they want the new version to appear everywhere. Like social media, league tables, third party content etc.

You could use it as much as you'd like really but fundamentally the club crest is the one we have now. I dunno, it's a fine line between something good and something horrible with these things. Look at Villa for an example of how not to do it.

Aye, I just mean the people like TV companies and the PL themselves will use the official crest (I assume). So the club might want to make sure it’s the new one.

I got AI to make some Magpie logos. The ball they use is a childish image, and you’d prefer a more traditional ball on it, but you get the just of the idea.

I've never been a huge fan of the circular one. Firstly because I don't really like circular badges and secondly because it's so basic. Cartoonish 1980s clip art. Though I do quite like the font.

 

If we're changing the crest to define a new era then I think it's important that we do something fresh and original. The ones between 76-88 will obviously mean something to some people, but in the grand scheme of things I don't think they're worthy of returning to.

 

It's been a while since I mentioned having all four adorned and backlit on the East Stand/new stadium fascia, then they're all affixed to the club in perpetuity, just not on the shirts.

I wouldn’t like to see us revert to an old crest. I think each crest defines an era and that’s how it should stay.

 

Id love to keep the current crest, but can see why they want to change it. What I don’t like is the sly way of forcing it through, like one sided surveys and using deliberately crap pictures of the current crest to make their point.

 

Ultimately, if the main reason why they want to change the crest is because it’s too complicated to manufacture, then they need better manufacturers.

yeah, my personal feelings are that it’s either strongly based off the current badge or we use one of the older badges. All the new ones I’ve seen just look shit and just aren’t Newcastle United to me.
