LRD
Still no word on a sleeve sponsor. A few teams have just announced this week, but we're cutting it fine as usual. You'd think it would earn us around £2-3m a year, considering Liverpool got £5m and Man Utd £12m. Apparently we could be part of a group who are negotiating to share a sponsor through SGI, from what I've found with a quick search. There's no confirmation from Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Everton, Tottenham or West Ham yet either, while Southampton and Arsenal are forbidden from finding new sponsors due to their existing deals with Virgin Media and Emirates. "SportsDirect.com to showcase sleeve sponsorship."
Disco
Is it still £940k per televised game, or did that go up this summer?
sbnufc
Lascelles/Lejeune CB then?
Mole_Toonfan
Nope, him being captain doesn't make him a certain starter. I doubt if Clark and Lejeune start well together that they'll be dropped.
Sima
Has that ginger cunt been stripped of his squad number yet?
Sima
Lascelles/Lejeune CB then? Not displaying his Shola tattoo enough. 2/10, would not pick.
nufc4eva
I really can't see him dropping either Clark or Lejuene at the moment.
Mole_Toonfan
I really can't see him dropping either Clark or Lejuene at the moment. Rightly so too, Clark was easily our best defender last year and Lejuene hasn't put a foot wrong from what i have seen in pre season.
xLiaaamx
We're not going to release squad numbers until team news on Sunday, are we?
LRD
https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/201718-squad-numbers-confirmed Squad Nos. Elliot gets #1. Krul, Riviere, Lazaar with no numbers. Saivet gets one though.
LRD
That's our 25-man squad.
Ryan
Colback, Hanley, Saivet and Darlow out hopefully to free up some places.
gdm
Diame given number
ponsaelius
So we've named a full 25. Will need to remove players if we're signing anybody else. Kenedy (if he signs) won't need to be registered since he was born in 96.
nemtizz
Diame given number 10 This is worse than Elliot being given #1.
Rich
So now we know the worst case scenario squad-wise. Still think it'll look a fair bit better than that. Not hard to improve upon Haidara, Saivet, Colback and Hanley even if you've only got buttons to spend.
sbnufc
So if Clark and Lejeune cement their place as starting CB's and the captaincy is taken from Shelvey.. Dummett new Newcastle captain? Elliot? :|

HaydnNUFC
Bit of a poll going on Twitter, discussing who the worst referee involved in an NUFC game ever was, the options being Trelford Mills, Brian Coddington, Steve Martin and Keith Stroud. Of course, you'll have Uriah Rennie, James Linington and Steve Bennet in there as options. I'm a bit young to remember Mills and Coddington exactly but I know what disgraces they were part of, the Brighton FA Cup goals being disallowed and the 3 players sent off at the Baseball Ground in 1992 (highlights of that game are on YouTube). So who was the worst out of those refs?
Nobody
Whoever reffed the Ritchie penalty debacle. Getting decisions wrong is one thing, but literally not knowing the rules is just another level of incompetence. Then you can add on the laughable 3 minutes of stoppage time to cement how bad it was. HaydnNUFC
Keith Stroud.
joeyt
Uriah Rennie sending off Shearer was one of my first NUFC related memories. Such a weird decision
