54 Posted Thursday at 18:55 Share Posted Thursday at 18:55 Our last weekend League game was 23rd February, our next weekend League game is 13th April. I know there has been an international break and a lot of cup games, but that feels mental.

Used to be brutal just getting through one weekend with just the Nationwide league on because of internationals.
PauloGeordio Posted Friday at 13:07 Share Posted Friday at 13:07 Was away offshore during the Cup final and my birthday. I’m home now and just had a delivery T-shirt, match day programme and loads of silver streamers

joeyt Posted Sunday at 17:49 Share Posted Sunday at 17:49 Jonas and Ayoze were my thoughts but Townsend is a great shout.

ponsaelius Posted Sunday at 18:24 Share Posted Sunday at 18:24 Thought it quite interesting to see we've only had 9 different PL scorers this season. We had 20 last season. Know we're not done but it shows possibly most how we've not had the same injury problems.
SUPERTOON Posted Sunday at 18:26 Share Posted Sunday at 18:26 Ayoze would have thrived under him.

Virtua Stiva Posted Sunday at 18:52 Share Posted Sunday at 18:52 Genuinely think Perez is the last player I’d pick to thrive under Howe, like. He was tidy and obviously had talent but I’m not seeing him as a Howe player. Moussa Sissoko on the other hand. If Howe gets him when Pardew did, you’ve got an absolute demon on your hands

Perez did great for us anyway like some of the other players mentioned so not sure applicable anyway but if you go with him I have to doubt where he would play under EH. Hanshithispantz Posted Sunday at 20:33 Share Posted Sunday at 20:33 Howay then lads, what exactly is it about the hardworking, goal scoring forward that Howe would have absolutely hated?

Loved the Pezzler but he's not strong enough for Howe. Jonas is a good shout on account of the stamina. Defensively Colo would've been a good fit too. If Carroll wasn't destined to be a crock then he'd have done extremely well under Howe as well I think.

nemtizz Posted Sunday at 21:47 Share Posted Sunday at 21:47 Last player to thrive under Howe is pure hate speech ngl Cabaye is a lazy cunt and would struggle without a destroy ala Tiote.
Conjo Posted Sunday at 21:51 Share Posted Sunday at 21:51 The premise of the question is who would flourish, so I don't think its right to choose people who did so despite playing for us in the Ashley area. Enrique, Jonas, Sissoko, Ayoze, Carroll and Cabaye did flourish for us, and bar Jonas all got big moves away from us due to how well they played. So far I think Townsend is the best shout. But Townsend was excellent in his spell? I thought Sissoko was a good shout based on your parameters. He had his moments but was ultimately a disappointment imo. For players who never really cut it at all, maybe he could've unlocked Mitrovic's potential? He started okay but never really got a look in under Rafa then became a goal machine elsewhere. Colos Short and Curlies Posted Sunday at 22:28 Share Posted Sunday at 22:28 Are we putting an Ashley era player into the current squad or putting Howe back into the Ashley era here? Of the former then Remy would be in with a shout of the golden boot but I'll die on the hill with a flag saying HBA. If the latter then it would be Perez or Sissoko. Wildcard, Mbemba would have been interesting under Howe, really thought he was going to be the part for us
